Okay now that I see the Admire 4g came out last week I want to know which should I get the admire 4g or just the lg motion. Or should I wait for the lg ms870 to come out? Because right now I need a new phone but I can wait aslong as it doesn't take for 5-6 months for the ms780 to comeout. So what should I do buy the Motion or the Admire or should I wait for the ms870?

I heard that the ms870 is just like the motion but with a bigger screen, that said I think you should get the motion 4g, its a powerful little device and has tuns of features also its on ICS .... the ms870 might take months until its released, the admire 4g is straight up garbage, my wife got it and I played with it, turns out it wasn't what they made it seemed ..... its on Gingerbread and it lags a lot at times .. GET THE MOTION, IF YOU HAVE PATIENCE GET THE MS870, IF YOU HAVE MORE FUNDS GET THE GALAXY S3

the admire just doesnt make sense. not only is the motion a better phone but currently its a cheaper phone by $20. there's supposed to be a sale soon on the admire but even then the motion is the better phone by a long way.
the LG MS870 is slated for early next year which should be no later than march.
if you want to get the S3 you can and its an excellent phone but its not that much better than the motion as far as performance and its $400(on sale from $500) versus $150 for the motion.
if 3.5 inches is too small for you then i would suggest the coolpad quattro. its $129 with a $50 rebate and has a 4in screen with the same specs as the admire 4G.
heck, for $30 more than the admire you can get the ZTE anthem which has a 4.3in screen and has the sames specs as the connect and the esteem that are over $300.
do with your money what you will, but i dont see what sense it would make to get the admire 4G considering other choices available.

Not for nothing fuzz but I think we got your point on metro for a lot of us metro works perfect and the s3 as much as others don't like the phone all of us love it its a beast and because of the development we have we can make it into what we like

I would go for the motion since you need a phone now. The s3 is alright but its waayyyy more expensive and you might not get 4g in your area crippling your superphone. Metro was great when byod plans weren't as good as they are now. Adding the fact that Google is now releasing superb phones for really cheap i cant see myself going back to metro, waiting for actually good phones to come out. Anyways, go for the motion or the gnex/nexus 4 if you want android at its best.

Well folks I think MetroPCS is ok for the price,my S3 works great I have 4g I use it mostly on wifi being i am home most of the time.
Just an observation, A few folks keep harping about how bad metro is and " I will never go back" and so on. Well thats fine,just do not come into a metropcs thread and bash metro.
And Supersean your best bet is go into a metro store and check out the phones make sure they work for you ( feel comfort) and so on. The motion is good although small screen the s3 is the caddy of Metropcs if you can afford it then do it. They have financing that all you pay when you get the phone is 10% so around 45 bucks then just pay it off in 90 days and you pay sticker price around $445.
As far as the admire,well I had one for almost 3 years it is a ok entry phone but i would not get it if you want to change options and roms. it is stuck to mostly just themes mistakenly called roms. Anyhow just like a car or house purchase choose what you would like to have.

The point wasnt about metros network, it was about what phone he should get. And the motion is def the right choice.

I'm not putting words in your mouth is just that I noticed that after all this is a metro forum and metro works for a lot of us and people should do a research and determine what's best for them as far coverage and phone selection works and it seems they like to come in here and trash bag on metro I left metro twice but never went to sprint or T-Mobile forum to tell them how bad their service was that's all dude

Coolpads $79 w/tax out the door as of today..no more mail-in..Deals til the 2nd of January. Id go with the Motion as its a far better phone.

Makes no sense why that phone is so cheap. You can't say the s3 is expensive cause that's normal straight out price. But when the two are compared, it def makes you scratch your head.
But then again if you compared the n4 and the s3 that too makes you go wth. But being metro charges full price it makes you wonder. Whatever though, good for those who own the motion. Lol

1. He's asking for our opinions, so I gave it to him.
2. Not bashing, not everyone has 4g everywhere they go, I had 1x everywhere and delayed texts. So you can see why I would not go back to metro.
Like everyone says its all based on your location.
If my esteem would of had 4g, I would of still been using it patiently waiting for cm9.

I think the biggest gripe about people coming in to bash Metro or by saying they should go to this carrier or that carrier instead is that these people who make a thread in the Metro section obviously believe Metro has good coverage in their area. Now they just want an opinion about what phone they should get that Metro offers.
If Metro didn't work for you well it didn't work for you. Not all carriers have the same coverage everywhere. Just like T-Mobile and Sprint have horrible coverage where I live while Metro has great coverage. If the poster had asked about how Metro coverage or service is then you saying they're terrible or to try this and that would be valid, but when they're just asking about what phone from Metro to get its not relevant to what the poster wants to know.
Just like if I go into say Verizon's section and ask which Verizon phone I should get I don't need or want a bunch of people telling me how I shouldn't go with Verizon how I should go with ATT or T-Mobile instead.
Now all that being said if you don't mind a smaller screen I would go with the Motion. You just can't beat the performance for the price that it offers.

Ive had both the lg motion and S3. If u can wait indefinitely, then I would wait for new lg to come out to confirm price, etc... if ur not willing to wait indefinitely, then only two choices. 1. LG motion at 3.5 screen or 2. Samsung s3 with its much bigger screen. I had the lg with no complaints, except screen size (bad eyes). When s3 went on sale, decided to get bigger screen. S3 is supposed to get jb, maybe metro is waiting to coordinate with the release of new lg to help keep the s3 premium price point.

Metro is worse than Verizon with updates. Sad that's even possible. But i honestly wouldn't be surprised if the s3 didn't get jb from metro.
I mean the ascend was proof of their ignorance. Og and had 2.2. They put out the tapout variant that had 2.3 but WOULDN'T update the og ascend to 2.3. Haha. That was hell and they pissed a lot of people off because they kept stringing them along. Luckily we can root and install such things. But yeah, if I was a betting man i would bet the s3 doesn't get jb ota.
