***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

So, it's 10 pm.. I'm watching the Yankees game (BTW MM, Granderson just hit the homer in the top of the 10th )

So, there's a VZ commercial on advertising the Droid AND the Pre. (sounds like they're clearing inventory, right?).

I tell my wife that they are clearing inventory for the Incredible. I tell her I know this because I've seen and internal memo from VZ and from BB regarding the Incredible coming out the end of this month.

You now what she said to me? She said, "I don't get what it is about this phone. Is it the second coming of Christ or something? After all, it's just a phone!" I then explained that it was a considerable advancement of technology, rather than the second coming.

Out of curiosity, is this sufficient grounds for divorce?

I think she needs lessons from my husband.

Today I came home from work and was all, "OMG! Leaked Best Buy flyers and inside info and it's coming this month YAY! Maybe VZW will get it first and some jerk troll was mean to me and it's still probably going to be called the Incredible! Isn't that exciting?!?!?!"

And without skipping a beat and continuing to watch a hockey game, he said, "Yes! Whatever you just said is awesome! I'm thrilled."

I was looking earlier at the name thing and looked at space stuff, sci-fi stuff, biblical stuff, anagrams.
There was some blade runner stuff that fit, was thinking about the sci-fi movie called the sixth day, some star wars, you could go on forever.
Looked at previous releases, sholes= droid, desire= eris, I got tired of it and gave up.

I read this and kept waiting to get to your idea for the name, and it never game.......it never came.

The GF just told me. "at some point you're going to have to grow up like a big person and stop talking to your friends" (ahh... she recognizes your existence!) ..."and start doing something productive".

Response: "Yeah? Like what?"


Gf: "You could start by filling out the cenus."

Proceeds to stare at me on the couch with my feet up... reading while she's talking....

Because it shows its not real. Verizon takes the time to format everything correctly. I've never seen such a crappy looking photo that has come from Verizon before.

I was thinking it might have something to do with this:

Which is one week after the launch date of the 29th.

If it turns out to be true it'll be the only thing my brain was right about from the start. We all talked about this near the beginning of this thread's life. Someone pointed out to me that LG was listed as a primary sponsor on the Iron Man 2 website.

I thought it tould have tied in nicely, especially when the Incredible had a red back, ala the Incredible Iron Man's armor....

Who knows, a tie-in might still happen.

In a argument with bunch of at&t guys.

ATT has already announced they're moving up their schedule for LTE infrastructure building and deployment. the hspa 7.2 will eventually be their "nationwide" standard while LTE will probably stay only in major cities for a good while. verizon will have NOTHING to compare to ATT's nationwide hspa 7.2.

They all think hspa will smoke Verizon's LTE.
Kind of a interesting argument we have going on.
