I used the Hyperion 4200 mah battery with the Seidio battery cover and Surface case. I sold the Seidio 3500 mah battery and Hyperion battery cover.

She says u can just lick the thumbs in normal wool gloves to make em work but i havent tried that anyway.

My best buy a stylus like a pen which clips on t my flip case, so much easier and quicker for messaging/texting.

I agree with this. Styluses (styli?) are great. I bought a 4 pack for $3 with free shipping from Hong Kong off of eBay. very useful.

Yup there pretty cool and cheap. Can use one in the car, one at your night stand, work, etc. And NFC doesn't drain your battery or system resources like other apps.

NFC uses power like any other sensor does. Tbh, I'd prefer Tasker for not wasting power.

NFC only uses battery when the screen is awake and placed over a tag. Depending on how you set up the nfc setting. On my current aokp rom i can set the nfc polling mode to screen off or screen on,locked or screen on, unlocked. You can also incorporate tasker with NFC with apps like NFC task launcher. Whenever I used tasker I found it to drain the battery when using GPS. Tasker is definitely more powerful and versatile.
