Mail man just dropped it off, 4 days late. O well glad its here. Anybody using with with screen protector i had to take Zagg off cus it has bubbles between Zagg and otterbox screen protector. i got SPIGEN SPG that i havnt opened yet since its a hard screen protector it shouldnt have bubbles right?

I think it's because of how thick Zagg screen protectors are.

The built in screen protector will likely barely touch the screen so it shouldn't bubble too much. I tend to put cheaper/thinner anti-glare screen protectors on, then use the defender case and there are no bubbles at all.
The built in SP doesn't stick to the SP already installed.

That's how I've always done it.

I hate the built in screen protector on the Defenders. I always punch it out and use a cheapy screen protector instead.

well i actually like the build in screen protector. And yes its barely touching the screen but thats the problem, when u touch it it moves and I hate that. ill put spigen sp on there and see if it helps since its hard plastic SP it shouldnt stick to otterbox

I hate screen protectors. Come on, we have gorilla glass and probably won't keep the phone for more than a year or two. Who are you protecting it for the next guy? It sort of reminds of the women that would put clear plastic on all their furniture. Set yourself free and enjoy your phone in all of its glory.

For me, I just don't like the idea of huge scratches (Gorilla glass will scratch).

Plus if the glass does break, if it's got a screen protector it will help keep the glass on the phone. You'll be able to keep using it until you can replace it.

I did that with my old Motorola Triumph. It kept working for 3 months until the phone I wanted came out.

Actually yes i am protecting for next guy, when i sell phone for something better. 6 months to a year is usually the average life of my phones. And gorilla glass can scratch, may not be as easy but it is possible.

My screen protector did the same, so I popped it out. I complained to Otterbox and they are sending me a replacement case. Go here to fill out a warranty claim. OtterBox Warranty | OtterBox.com

I actually like the built-in screen protector. But I have the same issue as you. It does barely touch the screen.

Hmmm. I may do that as well. Thanks!

Are u saying i got a fault case? This is my first Otterbox case. Is it suppose to be flushed with the screen? I thought it was normal for them to hover like that.
If its faulty then i guess ill fill out warranty papers

Every otterbox defender I've tried on iPhones have been flush with the screen. I spoke to an otterbox rep about the screen hovering over my note 2 and she said it's not supposed to be like that. But it seems to be the issue with all Note 2 defenders.

This is how I use my Defender'ized Note II: (with bluetooth headset)

I ordered my defender case from Otterbox just this week, so maybe they've tuned it up a bit, but I'm not really noticing anything significant in the way of the screen protector being inadequate.

I ended up sending my Otter box back because the screen protector was too popped out. I had to scroll very hard to get my screen to respond.

=/

I'll be sticking with my pocket case for now.

I know! My only gripe is the lack of color selection.

With the Commuter Case for the Galaxy Note 2 being a fairly new release from Otterbox ...
... it wouldn't surprise me to see more colors available for the N2 sometime in the future.

... probably the same for the Defender Case ...

After going thru a terrible cheap Ebay one and a pain to hold billfold case my just arrived Defender feels like first class and a tank protecting my Note. Love it.
The screen protector can be hardly seen.

I would really hate to have to send it back since it was like 4 days late. i guess if all the note 2 otterboxes have SP problems then i can manage with it. Just didn't want to be one of the ones with a faulty case
