Hard time adjusting to size coming from iphone 5

Lol yeah it is starting to feel normal sized to me now. My brother wants to check out my Note 2 when he comes over for Xmas and I know the first thing he is going to comment on is going to be the size of the phone. Never know though he may like it and switch to android. He already tried out Windows Phone 8 but didn't like it so maybe the Note will get him liking android at least.

Seriously though, I always love having huge phones. Since I'm a girl though it's as easy to just throw it in my purse. I do have one of those covers that has the strap so it makes it easier for me to hold it in my hand. I wrap my hand in the strap and it secures it a little better. ^^.

As for texting and calls, I'm already used to it. I've had mine for about 3 days now and I really think it's not too big. Then again, I'm blind as a bat and supposed to wear glasses. This phone helps me to avoid having to! =P

For the last few years I've been using a Nokia Internet Tablet that is fairly similar in size to the GN2, except quite a bit thicker. But I'm surprised to find that I'm having a bit of trouble with the size. I can't seem to find a comfortable way to hold the phone that doesn't have me accidentally pressing the back button all the time. My N800 has a kickstand that also doubles as a strap that I can slide my hand through, and makes it easy to hold onto. Would be great to find something like that for the GN2.

You should check out the Fly Grip it'll solve the problem of holding it.

The strap that is used to secure the front flap on the phone can also be used as a means to secure it into your hand when the flap is open.

That's what I've been doing. I secure it in my left hand and proceed to use it with my right.
Though I'm able to do some functions with one hand.

I've tried an Otterbox and it was too bulky and I couldn't get a decent grip on it.
Think I'll look into this fly grip myself too.

The flygrip seems like a nice idea, but not sure how good it would be for landscape use, which is how I use my Note most of the time. Also it would interfere with a kickstand I think, whenever I find a good one of those.
 
I have smaller hands, but after a week with it, it just seems normal. I picked up my iPhone 5 to reset it today (just sold on ebay for $515) and it seemed so tiny lmao.

Love this phone so far.
 
I cant even imagine trying to use a smaller phone now. My old phone was an htc evo3d with a 4.3" screen amd now it looks like a toy.
 
The first few hours of getting the note 2 I felt I made the wrong decision because it was so big. A week later I find my self unconsciously giggling when I held my old phone because it felt so small. :D

Holy cow. I had to stare at your avatar for a bit. I was like "No way, I'm hallucinating. It's not blinking". It totally was.

Before I'd even got this phone I felt my other ones were too small already. =P

It was love at first blink! :p
At least now I don't freak out any more. First time I almost dropped my phone.

I use it in lansscape all the time. While it's more or less designed for normal orientation, I find it comfortable to use in landscape. It also forms a kick stand that can be used in either orientation. It comes with a free rubbery case that is kinda grippy and fits perfectly into my Seidio surface holster.

Needless to say, I'm really liking that gizmo.
 
Seems to me the best judge as to whether a phone is right for you is........you! Especially on something as straight forward as size.

If its too big return it. Before its too late. I would never ask if a phone is right for me. Unless I have a clone. And I don't. The Gnex for example had a crappy signal for me. Boom! Adios Gnex hello Rezound. Simple, right?

I didn't watch the whole video since it kept buffering for every couple of seconds of play, but the parts I did see made it seem like it would be awkward to hold in landscape. Also didn't see that it could be used as a kickstand. Will need to take a closer look.

As an aside, does the Flygrip remind anyone else of the Opti-grab? :D

It's funny cause I had a Note 1 and before that the Evo 3D and since I had always wanted a giant device like this I got used to it pretty quick. Now I have a Nexus 4 (wanted to try vanilla android) and once in awhile I'll pick up my fiance's Note 1 and holy jeez it's big! I'll most likely be getting a Note 2 with my tax returns next month cause I miss the bigness, and the s-pen and expandable storage (I could go on).
