Agreed. I wish they'd do something about this. My family will be dumping the home phone and be COMPLETELY mobile after we get these phones. The money from home phone will go to our data plan in our budget. I rarely ever get a call on my home phone anymore anyway. ;)

Ok, I printed out the manual and the plan is to be a super geek and read it tonight. I feel like it is Christmas or something. Thank you guys so much for providing so much entertainment. I think it is better to get the manual now because if I have gotten with the phone i wouldn

I know...That was a joke, since everyone comes charging out of their huts with pitchforks and torches anytime something gets posted here; I figure I'd immerse myself in the experience.

i hear ya ... just did this in my house. currently waiting for my home phone number to port over.

but..regarding data $$$ .. i can't justify $60 for data alone (for 2 lines).
so, only went with 1 smart phone (droid...for a coupla more days...).

really hoping somehow, someway, that these data plans come down to earth a little bit in the future.
 
anybody else a little bit disappointed with the large amount of "non-screen" real estate on the front of the phone? if it had the same screen/total area ratio as an hd2 but with the smaller screen, this thing would be AWESOME
