Root Gmail Account Won't delete after factory reset

o.k....the phone has 3 Operating systems on it.
1. The bootloader screen (the white screen)
2. The recovery screen, which can be accessed thru the bootloader screen.
3. The main OS...(your rom)

When you are on that white screen, and it says "Revolutionary" at the top in pink letters, that is your bootloader screen.

There should be an option on that screen, in green text that says "recovery"
If you select that, it will bring you to your recovery screen.

I'll post a pic of my bootloader screen which, I assume, will be the same as yours ...stand by

Wow, I'm sorry to be so confusing. I'm usually slightly better at this. But when I go into recovery now, it's the black screen again. It says RA-supersonic-v2.3 at the bottom. Just FYI.

EDIT: Read your message, I now get that they were two different things. Sorry to be such an idiot. LOL

Ok, everything worked like a charm! It took me straight to set up new Google account. Mine is gone and the boy has a new phone. You were so wonderful to walk me through this! I can't thank you enough! (now cross your fingers, rooting the Note II goes as smoothly) Happy New Year!!

I am a bit surprised that rooting is still possible. I thought as Android matured, and Samsung, HTC, and the likes got really good at making phones, they would have everything on lockdown by now.

Is it that everything has an exploit? Or do they leave some expoits on purpose because they know that a lot of the appeal is the ability to root, and locking down a phone 100% will ultimately affect the sales of that particular phone?

Since the OP's answer has been answered, I didn't feel like this is a thread-jack :D

I guess I don't see what the manufacturer has to lose with rooting. It seems like the carrier would care more. I root in order to unlock the Sprint hotspot and not pay the $30/mo for it. I also like to customize the look of the phone, but the main thing is the free hotspot. I can't imagine Samsung cares about that, but I'm surprised Sprint doesn't.

I think the fact that Android is Open Source, many devs can provide us with a root process for any device if they so choose.

The rooting process obviously differs from device to device but can provide us with the freedom to do with our devices as we please.
Granted that the manufacturers void the warranty when rooted, but there are some root processes that can be reversed, then the device can be sent in.

In my opinion, again my opinion, most warranties are hardware related unless someone bricks their phone by improperly flashing something and shouldn't expect the manufacturer to warranty it anyways. I mean, if you bought a car, put a chip in it, then blow the engine, why would you expect the car maker to warranty it?:p

Hey, Mike, so everything is fine, but the Play Store just disappeared from the home screen. It's so strange. It's not listed under apps anymore, but if I go to setting/manage applications, it's listed there. Have you heard of this issue before?

Now, if only I could figure out how to get the comma on my Samsung keyboard on the Note 2, my life would be complete! Seriously, whose bright idea was it to think people don't need the comma? Having to hit the SYM key to get to it is a major pain. I have scoured the forums and can't seem to find a solution.

Anyway, thanks again for all your help today! You have NO idea how much I appreciate it.

This just happened to me, and while I was looking for a fix, it came back. Truely odd.
