Root kernel flash (ville-zblackout bricked)

Ok so I've tried flashing that kernel for the last four hours multiple fails (thankfully I have a nandroid backup :)) anyway it gets all the way to the FLASH section of the install and it says "Installing Kernel, please wait... ERROR: Kernel Not Installed! Now I did follow on the xda page to make the 'last_kmsg' and the 'errorreportdump' files not sure if they are useful or not.

Have tried both rc 5 and rc5.1 also, trick droid rom not sure if that is the problem, thought it was a compatible sense based rom.

Thanks for any help I might get.

I must have missed something as I switched to twrp over clock work mod used the dumlock trick and was good to go. I've used clockwork mid since my first droid and sad to see anew project accomplishes what it can't. I think I like twrp more overall die to use interface, features and ease of us.

Yes, I am a user and fan of TWRP. I, like you, have used clockwork recovery in the past. Glad the kernel works now :)
