I'm surprised that older people do that here. I have to say the same thing to my Freshmen......along with telling them it's not okay to call things Jewish either. Last time they did I asked them where they got their white sheets and hoods!

I was thinking that earlier and I do believe they did. This was their way of release it without really officially releasing it yet. Steal Apple's thunder, get some free online coverage and stir the juices of the informed online users like us and set the ball rolling for the release to the masses.

Hi everyone. This is a great forum and a ton of good information. I've been staying up til the wee hours enjoying the good banter. I will be getting this phone thanks to all of you. Although I'm 60 I like the new gadgets even if I don't always use all their capabilities. Keep up the good work. My first post and looking forward to many more with all of you.

would love to but i know the eris didnt come with a user guide (had to download it) and it doest appear the INC will either...so on to option two. Anyone that had trouble downloading and getting corruption messages how did you get around it?

I would love if they would add it, but I think with them being "kind enough" to give you 8GB on board, it's gonna be on your coin :(

No, no apps on the SD until after the phone is rooted and a ROM made for Apps2SD

BTW, the confusion about the 8gb may be that it is pre-installed in the microsd slot- hence, "not in the box".

No, they put stuff there to prepare it for launch assuming that no one is going to post it. It's damn inconvenient to rush everything together and link things at the last moment so they hide the page and piece it together.

But we, my friends, are resourceful!!
 
I know I'm not the first to notice this, but how is this thing only barely bigger than the droid eris. I'm not complaining, in fact, the opposite. I love the look and feel of my eris. I can't wait for better specs without adding any bulk.

Here are the eris stats

Dimensions4.45" x 2.19" x 0.52" (113 x 55 x 13.2 mm)

You absolutely do not want that word to catch on! As soon as it does, Verizon will make the phone require a more expensive plan designed for "superphones". :D
