Kernel 7.30 was deleted! MIC record and video record bugs!

New Kernel 7.31 ICS-JB-MALI + CM10.1 support! (no JB LEAK support!)

Change log:
*Me and Voku ported more than 150 commits for:
RAM, Kernel control, compaction, writeback, cache handle, swap code,
oom manager, updates and many many more! from 3.8.Y kernel
*I have ported needed files from CM kernel to boot CM10.1 ROM
*Fixed Video and audio recording!
*Tuned filesystem to be more aggressive about file store and protect.

Will have to have a word with Dorimanx about releasing things when I'm out wining, dining and socialising as I find it difficult to focus and keep abreast of things under those circumstances. :cheers:

Did Dorimanx 7.33 support CM10.1 as 2nd ROM?
I'm thinking about change Siyah 5.0.1 to Dorimanx 7.33.
My 1st ROM is CM9.1. Will it BOOT & work after switch kernel to Dorimanx?

I didn't acquire answer so i tried & after flash Dorimanx 7.34 in place Siyah my 1st ROM fail to load.

*MEM Code updated from 3.8.y and improved, all normal again.
*Updated USB transfer drivers from Sammy JB Kernel.
*Removed some hacks to get more stable build.

Kernel is stable and working 3 days now without any single bug on ROOTBOX 3.2

Have fun testing!

next release will be with major update bomb from 3.8.y ported by VOKU!
more that 90,000+ code lines updated! crazy stuff.

i need to test before release.

UPDATE (more info before you flash)

Coming from Siyah kernel... Froze Voltage Control in TB. Disabled JB Power Saving. Used Hawker's GS2KernelWipe.

Smooth as silk!

Camera and Video both working!

Whole host of tweaks and features added to STweaks.

Will start with unmodified, except for BLN, Extreme_Battery profile and take it from there.

Would NOT recommend running JB built-in system Power Saving in conjunction with this kernel to begin with. Particularly if using Extreme_Battery profile.

Minor bugs, allegedly, being reported on xda thread, here.

Allow 3 or 4 days for the kernel to, "bed in", before judging it or asking for battery life.

I'm like a kid in a sweet shop! A pig in clover! A dog with two tails! :)
 
Joy! Nothing like a new kernel to tweak and test when the missus is on nights and the kids are safety tucked up asleep........

...... Then I wonder why my family and friends call me a geek. Glazed looks and rolling eyes will be avoided as I can't enthuse about my new kernel to anyone other than fellow SGS2 acolytes here. :)
 
Very impressed with this so far. No problems and feels very very smooth.

I have left everything as standard. Will play around with the profiles in a few days.

Forgot how many options Dori comes with.....seems like more than ever this time! Does anybody know much about the new governors? The default is set as Hyper.
 
All looks excellent up to now.
Running pure defaults on extreme battery profile apart from enabling BLN

The gestures I created under the ICS kernel all work, so no service call changes required for my examples at least.

Dori automatically connects your handset to your PC as Mass Storage if set in STweaks just like it did in ICS. It's the only kernel I could ever do this with, and is very handy.

Its nice to have BLN back. And curiously, I'll have you know that BLN also works for missed calls without the need to install the "Missed Call Reminder" app, so that's one less thing you need to have running.

Obviously I'll have to wait a while for a decent battery assessment, but if early signs are anything to go by, Dori+an official Sammy JB release will be pretty damn hard to beat.

All looks Hunky-Dori (ahem) I'll get my coat.

Oh dear, you were doing so well up until this point..... ;)

Nice write up, Paul. You've persuaded me to give it a whirl - I've become increasingly frustrated with Siyah's refusal to honour my STweaks settings after a restart.

*Fixed Gamma levels and reset to 1 after boot.
*Fixed Headphone gain by GM for JB SAMMY ROM. (it's working fine for rest already!)
