Your talking about two different things. ActiveSync allows you to sync your content on your phone with your PC (contacts, messages, calendar, ect). I think Android supports POP3 and IMAP right?

That's what I was hoping, thanks. The UG did mention that it does support POP3 and IMAP. So I think I am good to go...

Hey thanks for that Steven58, appreciated and of course I'm sure i speak for most of us when i say we're very appreciative of you and all you bring to the table. Thanks for keeping the humor going and spirits high.

aw gorsh :o

This thread has come such a long way and I'm not beyond organizing "An Incredible Reunion" in Orlando or some other destination of everyone's choice for us all to meet and finally put a face to a name. After nearly 600 pages, 30k posts, and almost 2 million views (not to mention countless exclusives, leaks, photoshop exposures, etc...) i think we deserve it! So out of pure curiosity...who would be interested in making a weekend out of it when we all have an Incredible in our hand???

Meeeee!!!! Actually, I'm thinking of taking my daughter Disneyworld in May, when she gets out of school!

I ***might*** (emphasis on might) be able to pursuade Rob (AF owner) to somehow get involved...maybe some t-shirts dedicated to the thread, maybe partial cost participation, or the start of a new annual tradition for whomever can make it...who knows, could be big, but even big things start off with a first step, and we could be that first step.

I'm there. Don't look to me to design stuff though.. I'm a great singer...not so great artist. ;):p

Sorry if this is already posted but I have a question about the confusing discrepancies between the battery specs of the Droid Eris and the Incredible.

The Droid Eris and the Incredible seem to share the same battery (1300 mah). But, the talk and standby times are completely different in a weird way.

Droid Eris Talk Time: 214 minutes
Incredible Talk Time: 313 minutes

Droid Eris Stand By Time: 373 hours
Incredible Stand By Time: 146 hours

(Link to Eris specs)

Why would there be 100 more minutes of talk time on the more "powerful" phone using the same battery but 230 less hours on the stand by time??

I would assume that the HTC Incredible would be lower in both specs being that it has the more powerful processor. Even if the Incredible has a more energy saving display (AMOLED) and it offsets the processor difference, these time discrepancies don't make a bit of sense. Someone please enlighten me. Just something I'm curious about.

i have been a lurker of these thread for quite some time and noticed that the BB release date is 4/29/10. Now I want this phone as soon as possible so is going thru BB the best way of obtaining this phone asap? And if it is then I also here a lot of speculation about their customer service. Is it always that bad? or does it range from store to store?

That would be cool and very awkward at the same time. I say Washington DC area! Orlando is too far!

But your location says Sweden...so if you are already coming to the US, what's a few more hundred miles south?! ;) LOL!

But really, I could do DC - not sure if I'd make the drive to Orlando though, and seeing as how I'll be shelling out $600 retail for an Incredible, probably wouldn't spring for a plane ticket! :p

And finally...happy birthday MM...bet if you added up all the b-day wishes you've gotten in your life, they wouldn't equal as many as you've gotten in this thread! :D

That's definitely going to range from store to store. In general I think they are pretty good, especially if they are not busy!

ActiveSync is also used by Exchange Server to synch email, contacts, and calendar updates between Exchange capable phones (BBs, DIEPhones, etc.). Android does both ActiveSync and POP3/IMAP, so you're good. :)

I'm around here and there. I lived in Sweden, in Virginia now. Maybe back to Sweden or Dubai, for a little while. I guess I should change that :p

Yeah, I've never really used ActiveSync for mail just because my company is a BB whore, so my use of ActiveSync was for moving some files and contacts between WinMo devices before flashing new roms lol

Can any of the insiders or techies supply any knowledge on expected read/write speeds for the internal memory? For example, would a class 6 or 10 card be faster than using the internal memory?

by internal memory, if you mean the moviNAND - it has a top speed of 52mbs I believe...
