But are samMobile .zip (stock roms) CWM flashable, or are they to be extracted for ODIN ?

Wife has a problem with her Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830i) the newer version, it won't pick up a signal nor let her SIM register, SIM is fine in three other phones. So I thought I'd root it (dead easy - don't even need ODIN) use CWM from stock recovery after rooting (you flash CWM and it opens to CWM recovery) and then flash the stock ROM for her. Then unroot. Downloaded the stock firmware twice now and it keeps telling me its 'bad' from CWM recovery. Hmmm. Wrong forum really ! LOL just wanted an answer.

They are a one-for-all file, flashable via Odin mate. See under. "My firmware is not eligible for ICS yet but I want it now!", here.

I won't mock you old son. I've been known to have mental blanks. The last one was between Christmas and New Year! :cheers:
