Use the 4G mobile hotspot app then switch the user agent on the device your tethering to
What kind of device are you using?
If your tethering to a computer try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931992
I use it when there's no WiFi available for my laptop. That link looks interesting but I'm not sure it will work for me. When I go into the Hotspot app I get a message saying I don't have it on my rate plan.
That's to deter people who don't pay for hotspot from using it. Everyone gets that's message even if they've payed for it but it will still work just hit don't show this message again.
Now if you can get me MetroPCS Visual Voicemail for free.... :-D
I was just about to reply that you likely already had Visual Voicemail when I ended up checking the MetroPCS plans.
Makes me glad I went with the unlimited data plan when it was $55. Includes Visual Voicemail, Screen-It, and International Text Messaging as part of the deal. I just noticed that -- even on the 'new' $60 unlimited 4G plan -- you still have to cough up another $5.00 to get those addons.
Probably not a big deal for most, but hey... might be something you didn't know.
4g tethering works for me. I use the default app that came with the phone.
I use the 60$ plan and I thought that it would cost an extra 10$ to get the tethering.
My Xbox 360
Well thats why, all that data from consoles is like unkown data so it just lets it through. Try tethering to a computer or non android device it'll block it since you dont have that plan
