That looks fine to me.

Is there some reason why you have airplane mode turned on? Could you take another screenshot with airplane mode off? You have gmail so there must be some kind of connectivity.

Also, after turning airplane mode off try going into the Phone updates in settings and updating PRL to see if it changes.

I looked it up and 61009 is a Boost Mobile PRL which might explain why you are not getting service. You may need to change it back to a valid VM PRL before you can get service.

What happens when you turn airplane mode off?

Edit: I just found another reference that says 61009 is a VM PRL so apparently it's used for both.

Yea, I didn't realize that was a new screenshot.

Well your wifi works and the cellular radio looks like it's turned on but it may not be working properly. Have you tried the "Activate this device" option in the settings menu after you flashed the RUU and OTA?

I found this thread on an Evo 4G (original Evo) forum and the consensus is that the "X' on the signal strength icon probably indicates a hardware problem so you might just have to wait for your replacement to arrive. I have a spare Evo 3D that's not activated and I still get bars on the signal strength icon with no "X" when I turn off airplane mode.

Sorry!

You could try taking the battery out for about for about 15 minutes and then put it back in to see if that might reset the radio hardware.

Other than that, I'm out of ideas for now but maybe someone else will be able to suggest something based on your screenshots.

I think I named it "ruu_pg86img.zip"
Delete ruu_ and it should put you back to stock Rom, stock recovery, stock bootloader

I got it to work!
First flash the ruu from bootloader that adamhoss1234 posted.
Install OTA update (under system updates, update software) while on wifi.
after that's done dial ##25327# -menu-reset and wait 'till it boots up and it should work.

I'm just curious how you got it work on his phone.

Were you having the same problem?

And i found this http://androidforums.com/htc-evo-v-4g/560315-evo-v-3d-4g-activation-troubleshooting-thread.html that describes the ##25327# reset code and includes other tips for activation (no service) problems.

Ok, so I accidentally updated my prl on mobster's wildcard rom and have the same issue. I followed everything you guys said and it did go back to day 1. 1.57 hboot, 1.06.0426 radio, stock rom, stock recovery but after the 1st boot there is no signal at all, therefore profile or prl update doesn't work... Do you guys have any other idea or updating prl on sense 4 roms bricks the radio?[/QUOTE

Yes he did

wow it wont let me do anything

First you need to unlock the bootloader again then flash the new recovery. After that you are good to go just downgrade your Hboot, flash a new radio and ta dam your phone is back the way it was.

Follow the steps here: http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-a...ing-evo-v-4g-roms-kernels-using-fastboot.html

Also, if you already have all the drivers, android SDK etc, just follow the steps or download the stuff you don't have.

Note: htcdev.com barely works which you need for unlocking the bootloader so since your phone was already rooted you should have the .bin file for unlocking. they email it to you so if you haven't deleted it yet just search for it. It could speed up the process by a lot!

There's no need to unlock the bootloader if he is S-OFF and joe_blow's all-in-one file will install a custom bootloader and recovery in one step by flashing a PG86IMG.zip file. Unlocking the bootloader when you are S-OFF just makes it harder to return to 100% stock. The only thing that unlocking the bootloader does if you are S-OFF is to allow fastboot commands with the stock bootloaders that can be run without unlocking using any of the custom hboots (JBear, ENG, Revolutionary).
