Help LED Notification

I noticed on my new Galaxy SII it has only a notification light for charging. I called Boost and looked it up on the internet and both says yes, there is no LED notifications for eg., missed calls, texts, etc.... What a bummer. I downloaded an app called NoLed and it places a notification on your screen which will work. Boost supposedly does not support LED notifications on the SII.

Does anyone else experience this ? It is nice to glance at your phone and see the LED blinking to give you a heads up for missed texts, emails, etc...

NoLed works great, just not sure how it will effect my battery life. Although I usually see the notification within minutes so it is just a running app, blah, but should not take up much battery life.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
I use Missed Call Reminder. I love a nag tone at set intervals if I miss a call, text or voicemail.

That app also allows you to not only set led notification but let's you customize the led color as well.
 
NoLed seems to work great. You can customize it to set up notifications for about anything. Your LED does not blink, instead you can have floating dots of different colors our actual icons float on your screen. So far no noticeable battery drain.

It does blink for miss calls, texts, and etc but you'll never know unless you sit there and watch it blinks. There isn't any option to make it blink faster or slower...bottom line, stock LED notification sucks!

I did install NoLED and it is a ROCK SOLID app! So many options and I don't even have to turn on the screen to see what I missed. This is a MUST have app for all S2 users!

PS...as you have mentioned, I'm wondering the same as to how it will effect the battery life. But, now that I don't have to turn on the screen to see if I have any miss calls, texts, and/or etc every 10 mins, I have feeling that it might actually make the batter last longer. Plus now I don't have to use the "Pulse notification light"!

Tip...make sure to enable the Proximity Sensor in the app itself!

PPS...Also don't forget to download the themes and enable the "Icon", it's pretty cool to have rather than the default squares or the "Dot". I'm using "ICS Theme"
 
I don't like the feature of LED notifications. If it's in my pocket, i'm obviously not worried about a missed call and a couple of missed texts.
