Battery just started dying too fast!

I am basically a business user of the Galaxy S3, the battery has been fine for the first couple of months. All of a sudden, my battery is dying in the early afternoon. I have tried to remove all apps from memory, pulled the battery to reset, and checked my battery save mode option (On). When I look at my battery option in settings, it says Screen is my heaviest battery usage. It is probably a setting that I changed, but I cannot remember it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try downloading "gsam" from play store, run a full normal days discharge then take a screenshot of the 1st page and the app page (of GSam) for us geeks :)

Ps, you havent accidently turned on GPS have you?

Pps, when using the phone, screen is ALWAYS the battery muncher but try turning off auto-brightness and get your eyes used to havin it a bit darker. Eventualy it makes everythin look nicer imo :)
 
You know... I believe I did turn on the GPS functionality. I think there were 3 of them. I just killed two of them. Is there any reason to have any of them running? I am not sure what functionality this provides me.
 
I had a similar problem recently. The battery started dying quickly and the phone was getting very hot. It seems to have started when I was out of my home area and the phone was searching for 4G coverage where it didn't exist. However, it continued after coming home. I took it in to my carrier (US Cellular) and they had a replacement sent to me overnight.

GPS is just for like sat-nav stuff mate. Keep it off while youre not using it :)
 
Yeah... I did turn on GPS and I did have it heating up. Now that I know this, I can watch for it. Thanks!

And by the way "My SI IS BLUER", I did search, but I could not make my search specific enough until I realized the problem. Thanks! I am golden and enjoying my phone again!
