Root Camera issues...

Does anyone have problems with the camera...
-blurry pictures
-pictures with not enough color
-dark pictures
and other similar camera problems?
Is there a way to solve this?
 
Has this always happened or is it a new issue? What rom are you using? Does it happen with just the stock camera app or does it also occur on 3rd party apps? Inquiring minds want to know. :D

The camera has always been like this i believe.. I"m on mobzter rom hd... The camera just takes crappy pictures.. is there any way to make them better?
 
The stock camera on this phone is not the best, especially in the shade or in low light conditions. And thougn it may seem basic, be sure that you wipe the lens off.
nsciucco is correct, and you should consider using a different camera, especially the ones in CM10. There are also other camera apps in the play store that will take better pics, specifically Camera ICS and Pro Capture.
 
1. i have the blurry problem too, think its because of the latency and you have to hold the camera REALLY still
2. I have the crappy lighting issue too in both vids and stills
 
The camera on this cam is pretty crappy, so while you may get "slightly" better pics with a CM10 base, I wouldn't expect miracles. I've considered upgrading to the SII because of the bad cam on this phone LOL

^^Just did this for the hell of it.... and i gotta say im impressed, the color balance and light balance is very good, not to mention it is a tad quicker response when running it on 4.2 as opposed to 4.1.2. Although they still haven't worked out the auto focus function (without touching the screen) for our phones with the 4.2 camera. I like it all in all... Anyway.... Back to pacMAN...... :)

You will have the latest Sprint firmware if you flash the VM OTA or the firmware only zip file krowley3 made from the OTA.

If you want the closest VM firmware to the current Sprint version download and flash the PG86IMG.zip file from this post through the bootloader.

A lot of people on this forum are still running the radio and PRI firmware from the original "fix everything" thread but that was a temporary fix until VM released the OTA. If you have any problems with the OTA firmware updates you can always go back and flash the "fix everything" versions, which are pulled from two different Sprint GB builds.
