Charge today gone tomorrow

My charger has always made a buzzing noise when plugged into an outlet, but the buzzing would stop as soon as I plugged the other end of the charger into my phone. I mainly just ignored it as it still worked fine, and didn't make noise while my phone was charging. Today I thought my phone was taking a long time to charge so I looked at the lockscreen and the percentage kept disappearing and reappearing. It's not getting a constant charge and the charger is buzzing even while plugged into the phone. I think it's safe to say the charger needs replaced.

My question is who should I contact about this? Google? What are the odds of them sending me just a replacement charger?

Galaxy Nexus charger always buzz when not charging.. That's why i got single power strip specifically for charger. Lol there's 8 power plugs and only one being used. It is annoying to take it out the charger all the time so I've decided to cut power to it by switching on/off button

The buzzing I could live with as I only plugged my charger in when I was charging my phone. My phone won't even get a consistent charge anymore though. It charges for a second, loses connection the next, etc.. That can't be good for the battery so I need to find a solution asap.

Yeah I use my Htc charger from my 3vo because the LG one that came with the Nexus doesn't seem to work right anymore. I have my 3vo plugged into that one and now it's dead lol. Lemme know if you figure out who to contact about that cause I'll need another one too.

I had this EXACT problem, I think it has something to do with the micro USB not securing itself correctly. It always felt cheap to begin with. So I use my galaxy nexus charging cable and adapter and I haven't had any problems since. I personally wouldn't waste my time trying to get a replacement, unless you don't have another charger laying around.

There was another thread on here about this a week or two back. I believe Google weren't too helpful when it came to replacing chargers and that a few people had issues using non-original chargers.

Might be worth checking out that thread as it contained lots of suggestions about which chargers to use.

I ordered 2 of the orb chargers today but I'd still like to get a replacement at some point. I put it in my drawer today because it won't even try to charge my 3vo anymore.
