***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

Dont stop believing..... has the Journey started? I want it to start. I want them to release a phone called the Incredible have anyone on hear heard of this phone. I want them to say here is the Microsoft Pink phone o ya hear is its big brother(step brother since they dont have the same blood ties) that kicks ass and takes names

Actually, it seems that Verizon is so "Socially Awkward" when handling phone releases, I wouldn't put it past them covering up the MS announcement. I don't think it will happen but Verizon's phone announcements seem more like they keep flipping rolling some dice, and if they come up snake eyes, they decide to make the announcement.
 
Does anybody know anything about these Microsoft phones? Are they really junk? Or if there was no Incredible would some of us actually consider one of these?

I think these are more in the line of the ENV2, where they're meant for people who don't want smartphones, but they're better than standard messaging phones, cause they're gonna have social network stuff built in. (I think)

rookie789, i think you're completely misinterpreting my tone and intentions, which is understandable as posts and digial communications don't lend themselves well to sarcasm, inside jokes, humor, etc...

Let me be the first (or, maybe not first) to welcome you to our forum, thread, community, and in loose terms, family. I think you'll find it informative, collaborative, and a good way to pass the time. Having said that, some folks have carved out a niche for themselves, and we all continue to play to those caricatures. I say caricatures because some people have taken certain aspects of their life or personality and built an online persona around it.

One such individual is Steven58 who graces us all with his presence, his wit, his humor, his views and perspectives on life, his sarcasm, and most notably related to your inquiry and perception of my comments, his own commentary on his age, his "iron pumping", etc... He is our resident sage and elder and the comments regarding his age span hundreds of pages now and are a constant on our thread. I think you'll find he takes no offense because he understands the humor is coming from a good place and is well natured, specifically from the handful of folks who have been around the thread for 625+ pages.

With that said, if you've been offended in any way i sincerely apologize for that and assure you no ill will was meant by any of it, in fact quite the opposite. If you'd like to have additional dialogue please PM me and we can continue to work through it.

Yes, and i've already talked to him about it...also, the most recent article and future articles will plug our community, thread, etc... not any individuals (per my request) and Rob was receptive of that. The most recent article does a good job of giving us a shout out and i'm hoping it drives even more people to this thread and, after it ends, the whole Incredible section which will be a kick a$$ place to come for all your Incredible needs.

Looks for more exciting news about Phandroid/AndroidForum developments soon!;)

If it is laid on it's back on a table, the area where the speaker hole is located would be clear of the surface it was lain on. If the surface is reflective it may amplify the sound, but if it is laid on something like a couch or bed it might be muffled. Just have to wait and see.

very astute. coming from the winmo world, my current phone has what's called "ettiquette" - meaning that if you turn the phone over, so that the speaker is pointed upwards, it automatically shuts off the speaker. it assumes that you're in a meeting and don't want to be disturbed, or that you're hitting "snooze" on the alarm. it never stops to think that maybe you're listening to music.
 
I like the keyboard on the Pure. If Palm would have a built the Pre like that (assuming it's quality) they probably wouldn't be for sale today.

HI All, I've been lurking for a few days now and am enjoying the discussions. I want one of these incredibles NOW! I have been on submarines for the last 5 years and have not been able to have a camera on my phone, I have loved my BB but now it is time for a fun phone. I thought the N1 was what I wanted but the more I read the incredible looks like the one to get. Switching to AT&T is not an option in my neighborhood as the service is horible here (and no 3G coverage)..... anyway I could go on for hours, just waiting for a cool fun phone!

I bought them for my wife recently on Ebay for $3 apiece. I had an invite request out there, too, but from what I understand some people are waiting months!
