If you have any invites it will show them on the lower left under all the folders and contacts. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be giving out a lot of invites. I got my GV a couple of weeks ago from someone on this forum. We were going to do a chain invite where I would get my GV then invite the next person on the thread, then they would invite the next, etc. But it didn't work out because I have yet to get an invites to give out. So you might not have any.

I would personally root it. It will allow alot of neat programs, plus you can control the CPU speed and make it run like an Eris to get better battery life if you want haha. Just keep in mind, if anyone sees that it is rooted, they can void your warranty. But really, no one looks for that - except me lol and if you broke your phone by messing with it and you're honest, I'm alright with it. If you lie to me... NO WARRANTY FOR YOU!!! :D

Oh, Ok, I think that is the case, because I don't see where on my main page it says invite or anything like that.
 
Related to iBowToAndroid's news...i'll let him tell the story (iPad on Verizon...sort of), but here's the pic.

All right guys, here's the story:

Woke up a little bit ago and immediately jumped online to check my email since I'm sure there will be SOME kind of announcement today, (even though I'm 99% sure it will not be anything more than the Pink phones) so I wanted to see what might be waiting..

Nothing out of the ordinary, just a little newsletter that comes a couple times a week. It mentioned the NFL Mobile App, which I already knew about, so I was like meh.. Until........ I scroll down to the bottom and I see a little graphic saying...

APPLE'S IPAD- ON THE NATION'S LARGEST AND MOST RELIABLE 3G NETWORK.

Once my heart resumed beating, I called my store to have them check it out, only to find out that they're really only promoting their Mi-Fi device- encouraging people to use it as Wi-Fi for their iPad.. Which is a great idea business-wise for them, but why oh why must they put teasers like that in employees' email???

Anyway... Sorry for getting everyone's hopes up, the mods might still post the image once its been watermarked I think. If someone else posts it, here or elsewhere, before actually doing their homework, that thing would go freaking VIRAL until they realized their mistake, so please do your best to properly inform anyone who makes assumptions about the graphic being posted...

Ok back to lurking now...

They do it to catch the employees attention. Cause if you see something shocking like that, you're gonna read it, unlike the hundreds of other emails that VZW sends out that hardly anyone reads.

Believe it or not, there are quite a few success stories with the iPad/MiFi thing I have heard. Excellent idea, just a little expensive. Too bad we can't say wireless tether with a rooted Droid for free :D it's soooooo hard for me to not mention that to people who have the Droid, or an aircard/MiFi or paying for it to use through their BB or something :p

I also feel bad for people buying the Droid or the Eris or any smartphone for that matter now because if they see the Incredible come out, they're gonna have restocking fees and be mad we didn't tell them about it, but we really can't. I feel even worse for people who bought their phones in the end of March. No way for them to return their device when the Incredible launches.

If you had a Blackberry and had to remove the battery cover to do a battery pull as often as required you would know why.

Verizon from the start has internal memos saying the ipad is is good for Verizon because of the high price of the 3g enable ipad

The only thing this doesn't show is that if you're the primary line on your account and you're a year into your 2 year contract you're eligible for discounted pricing through Verizon. Granted you have to have a plan over a certain dollar amount, and have to upgrade through Verizon, but unless something has changed you can still upgrade in this circumstance.

At least I hope you can still upgrade to the Incredible in this circumstance cause that’s what I was planning to do. $200 I’m okay with, $300 is pushin it but I don’t wanna drop $600 right now … Really pulling for the $200 range. :D
 
I'm a new member here and I have been anxiously awaiting a good Android based phone from Verizon. Thanks to everyone who has posted information about the Incredible's eminent release. I have definitely gotten the best and most up to date information from this site and the Phandroid site. Thanks again!

Best Buy does not honor the NE2 ($30) discount...FYI. I would bet on $199 out the door.

I was under the impression that Best Buy does not honor the annual upgrades? They will however honor the NE2.

Correct??
 
Ok....the waiting and anticipation has finally gotten to me.......I am tearing up the F5 key...I used to check 5-7 other sites....but we get everything here first!!!

I know ... So when I hear that it's coming to Best Buy on the 29th I'm REALLY hoping this isn't gonna be a Devour situation and I'm gonna have to wait a few weeks to get it.

Waiting for it now is bad enough but if I have to wait for it while the rest of you guys play with yours I may cry :)

Edit: Should have made my previous post clearer that it was only an option through Verizon and not through Best Buy, Amazon, Wirefly, etc.
