Good point! I hope so! I don't want my plan money going to crap phones  :D

or the 10k in stock I own
Trust me, no matter how much Microsoft is injecting into this "campaign" your higher than average monthly bill is contributing to this fatherless child.

I think you guys with inside info should just PM Anonimac with the info before getting in trouble with your company. This will keep your job safe and continue to give us info in the future. Your info is great news and we want to continue enjoying it years down the road. :)

Good point...i've offered this before but a little refresher can't hurt. If anyone out there has information that they want to share and they want absolute guaranteed protection and anonymity they can PM me and i will post any information and/or content that leaves them squeeky clean and protects their jobs.

I can also be reached at Anonimac@gmail.com if you don't have an account or don't want to create one.

Here's how I see it... Would Microsoft put a big ballin' @ss chip in a so-so phone? A phone that isn't even supposed to be top of the line?

Then again people put turbos in riced out 1980's hondas... So Maybe this isn't so far-fetched

It's about Xbox live mobile across their platform.

Ehhhh...I don't know...How do we know that avatar of yours isn't the secret mark of the Verizon Wireless gestapo? ;)

How do you send Voice invites out? I have an account but cannot find the "send an invite" like Gmail had..

I just found out that Just because you have a google voice account, doesn't mean you have invites. I think you have to have a GV account for some time (I have had mine about a month) before you get invites. I still don't have invites. If you have them, they show up on the left side of your GV page.

Huh, never would have thought about that. The value you get from it would definitely seem to warrant the $2 up front, in only from the free SMS alone. Thanks.

I love the visual voice mail feature. Can wait to use google voice on my new incredible smart phone in stead of my dumb phone. :D

Correct me if i'm wrong...
Sharp is building these things, right?
If Sharp was a force in the phone business, wouldn't they have an offering before now? I most certainly don't think I would tie up two years of my mobile calling life to Sharp's first rodeo. Not to say they won't get better but does everyone remember Hyundai's first US cars?

Anonimac said in a post a few days ago that you can email him things at Anonimac@gmail.com (Not his primary email address) for him to watermark.

I think this was his post: http://androidforums.com/htc-incredible/42916-official-htc-incredible-thread-623.html#post550370

yeahhhhh..... I was way late on this one.... lol :p

I can confirm that. I have had Google Voice since it wasn't Google Voice. Back in the old Grand Central days (before Google purchased that company and sucked them into their vortex).

In the entire time its been Google Voice I have had a total of 3.....3 invites to hand out.

Hey Guys, I see that a GV invite pops up here every now and then, I would sure like one if anybody has one they can spare. It would be much appreciated :)

I asked this question a while back but didn't see an answer. I think it was because I asked at a bad time; everyone wanted to talk about microSD cards. So, I thought I'd give it one more try.

Does anyone know or have a good resource listing what additions/enhancements Sense brings to stock Android 2.1's Exchange capabilities?

The Incredible will, if I'm not mistaken, be the first Verizon phone with 2.1 and Sense, and I desperately want to get my company on an Android phone. Recently, they approved the Storm 2 and a few other 'berry phones, so you can understand my desperation (at least there's a GV app., but still)! The Droid was rejected because you couldn't accept/reject meeting invites via email and generally sort contacts by last name (or other category). I've read articles hinting at in-email meeting event accept/reject and global address list support in Sense, but I'm not finding anything that really examines this area in detail.

HTC support was NO help at all. I got a pleasant "I understand that you are requesting more information concerning Exchange and HTC Sense. The only information we would have about that developer level knowledge would be at HTC - Developer Center ."

I turn here b/c we have a couple hours to kill before the 10am announcement, it's a topic I don't think we've discussed before (probably b/c it's nerdy and as THE forum for Incredible news, we gotta act a little cooler), and everyone typically seems willing to help.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help.

From my research, I think the App Touchdown will do this. I am not 100% sure but I think you need the 3rd party app. It sells for $10.00 I believe.

Show me one video or picture of a NON ROOTED STOCK phone that has the default homescreen in Landscape in HTC Sense.

You can't.

It looks like a feature of Android 2.1 with Sense. Not earlier versions unless rooted. I'm still holding out hope that it will...especially with what seems like obvious plans for a dock with the usb connector on the side. 2.1 hasn't officially dropped for the Eris and the only other phone that I can think of at this point is the Desire.

I have a quick question about bluetooth keyboards that I hope someone might be able to answer.

I was thinking about getting a BT keyboard when I get my incredible so that I can type notes in class without having to bring my laptop. However, BT keyboards are pretty pricey, so I figured I'd only buy one if I could use it for other things as well.

Does anyone know (or can give speculation) as to whether or not I'd be able to use a BT keyboard in Android's gameboy, snes, and nes emulators? Would I be able to map keys onto the keyboard? I have no idea whether or not these emulators are designed to be compatible with them, although I do know that you can map keys onto the Droid's physical keyboard. Would it be any different with a BT keyboard?

Thanks!

I got the Freedom Pro BT keyboard for my birthday (thanks Grandma!) specifically because they're developing specific device drivers for Android. They're already available in beta with the final version expected to drop anytime. I *think* maybe keymapping is a possibility but you could definitely do a little more digging and maybe write the company and ask. But as I said, they're developing specific Android drivers for their keyboard so you don't have to rely on any generic ones. :)

Any of you guys think about jumping the ship for Sprint?

Trust me that Evo is one sweet device

No.

Does anybody know anything about these Microsoft phones? Are they really junk? Or if there was no Incredible would some of us actually consider one of these?

Absolutely not. My head *might* be turned if these were based on WinMo 7 but they're NOT. And I've been wanting an Android phone for SOOOOO long now that I can't imagine even looking at a WinMo 7 device.

I was under the impression that Stock Android needed the Touchdown app but the Sense interface had activesync capability which is listed in the posted UG.
