Hyperion 4000mah battery and back just arrived!

So here is what happens..... with the hyperion battery in, the phone does not turn on even if it is plugged into the wall. The screen just shows the battery charging at 0%. I can't do anything with it. I replaced it with the stock samsung battery and the phone works fine, just with crappy battery life. I waited a few days and tried the Hyperion Battery again.... Sam result, it doesn't turn on and doesn't show a charge even though I know it is nearly full. Any ideas?

Let me try that today and I will report back here with the results.

So I did as you said. I cleaned the contacts with a pencil eraser, well as best as I could. I put the hyperion battery back into the phone and it would not turn on. I then plugged the phone into the wall and then I was able to turn it on. The battery sais it is at 93% which I think is correct, but I can't turn the phone on after it has been powered down or shut off by itself without first plugging the phone in the charger. I do not have that issue with the stock battery.

That's an interesting revelation! Can you tell me more about what happened when this started to occur? Maybe the electronics on the battery got zapped...which would be interesting because the electronics report the information about the battery. I don't know!

This problem actually started happening about a month before the battery would not turn the phone on at all. Sometimes the phone would turn off for no reason or other times if I placed it down on a desk a little to hard it would just turn off. I used to have that problem with my HTC Thunderbolt all the time. The only solution is to then jump start the phone's battery, just like a car.

So it happened again yesterday while at work. At around 1pm the phone shut off for no reason in my pocket. I could not even restart it using a wall charger. I got home and changed the battery to the stock battery and the phone worked fine. I will contact Hyperion and see if they will do anything for me. :(

Are the contacts clean? I'd like to buy the battery from you so I can see if I can find out what happened.

Are you serious about the above statement? Let me know if you are. I just emailed Hyperion about the situation and I am waiting to hear back from them.

Hi there!

I'd like to remind everyone that it is batteries that are being discussed here, not religion or politics. As such differences in opinion will be mostly based on individual experience and usage patterns, meaning that all are valid. You are free to disagree, of course, but please remember the old adage "Your Mileage May Vary" when it comes to batteries.

I also don't want to see any more posts made with the obvious intent of merely baiting others. If you develop a dislike for another member then please make use of the forum "Ignore" function rather than risk having your posting privileges revoked for disrupting the thread.

Thanks!

Indeed I am keeping the order. Very curious as to what $25 can get me in terms of battery capacity. Lol. Yes big thank you to Hyperion!
