I stopped into a verizon store this morning while i was getting my mini serviced...i asked about any "announcements" or "new phones" coming.

The lady was all stressed ...she had been franticly trying to find into on the web as her email and phones were blowing up over the new iPhone that was going to be released today....i kind of rolled my eyes and started to walk away.....then turned and said try googling "Official HTC Incredible"

Her eyes got huge when she saw the forum.....but still no info from her.:mad:

What model MINI? You can probabily figure out what I drive from my sig.

<------ 51 here

"Pink" or, Kin as they're calling it Live event update:

Verizon exec just said that Kin isn't coming to VZW stores until next month.

Sooooo, i'm thinking that the announcements will keep rolling this week. Considering they said "6" on that VZW announcement email.

Goooooo Incredible!

Still confused about the whole "Exclusively on Verizon Wireless" statement on the flyer we saw... They just confirmed on the event that Vodafone would have it, too. Maybe it meant exclusively in the U.S.?

I give MS props that they didn't use any Black Eyed Peas (at least that I heard) and they didn't have any embarrassing KIN DANCE that they had everyone int he audience do. I was slightly impressed by the online backup potion on the web, that was kinda cool, but yea, it just seems like a sidekick with an uglier/more cluttered interface and an online component. No Thanks. SenseUI for me please!

Me in the audience: I came for this horse s_it!

15 min. of Microsoft dribble. Verizon has invested alot of time with Microsoft with this. This has me a bit worried for the launch date of the Incredible.

Didn't we just get in trouble for starting the whole Age, married, children, job and mortgage thing? Here we go again!

Well at least I got to read your post, didnt notice any news with it, maybe I'll go reread it again.
Surely there must have been some pertinent info there, or else you wouldnt have posted, anything off topic

I know I'm dating myself, but I had to look up "FTW" to see what it means now. Back in my day, it meant something very different, so it makes me chuckle when I see it added on to a clearly positive statement.

Obviously nobody from this board is getting the Kin 2, but i was talking about people comparing the phones side by side in a Verizon store. Not everyone cares about flash support. Most people just look at screen size, camera quality, and design. The slide out keyboard will steal a lot of people away from the Incredible.
Technically, every phone on the market steals prospective buyers away from every other phone. The Incredible and the Kin phones are aimed at two different markets, though. I don't see too many working adults carrying around phones that fill their home screens with picture tiles.

you missed the boat (or schooner if you prefer)....dating yourself is a couple pages back.:p

I've never understood the whole "twitter" mentality, who cares if one of my friends is hungry or having a BM at the moment?

This whole social network thing crap is why 20 years from now there are going to be a lot of forty year olds living in their parents basements.
Go outside kids, get a job, buy a house.
You wont have time for 2000 texts a month

I use twitter pretty heavily. I'm 25, gainfully employed and am able to pay my rent and feed my gadget addiction. Twitter is great for pushing out a message to large groups of people at a time - the content can range anywhere from links to interesting things found on the internet, pictures of something you feel people would want to see (e.g. a doubledown I bought for lunch), or random musings about life. It's a great way to passively remove the distance between you and multiple friends. Yes, there is overshare, but I definitely see the value in such a service when used correctly.

Heck, it's how I sell Android to all of my iPhone toting friends.

Hmmm....what would we need before we could launch this thing???

Oh, i know, some inventory!

And where do we keep that??

At the warehouse!

Read it and salivate...7,500 dummy units and 21,600 screen protectors ready to go! We're getting closer!

Awesome find. Do we have any precedent from future launches to indicate if the other items on this list should be in stock before launch? Something to help us confirm / readjust the Apr29th date?

Well, glad Microsoft and Verizon got that out of their system. I hope VZW's end was mostly just showing up for a few meetings. I'd hate to be Microsoft, allocating who knows what considerable resources to create.... those.

And then, the whole reveal... it was just sad.
