Root Lagging instant message delivery.

I get like 2 mins to an hour late message from an instant messenger.
I asked my friend if her message is also lagging, and she said hers is fine.
I am on Harmonia rom, but it was like this when I was on unrooted stock rom.
What could be the problem? Or is this phone itself?

Which instant messenger app you are using?

because i use, defauld text app, kik, and fb messenger, and they all working fine with no lag or delay at all, im on JB 4.2

I am using Kakao Talk; however, I think my phone has some type of sync problem because even the SENSE weather widget is lagging. I set it to update every 1 hour, but it doesn't update every hour.

Could this be a hardware issue? Or is there a phone setting that I could test on?

Does this occur at all times or are there periods where it works correctly? Is there anything else that seems to not properly sync up?

No. Not at all times, but frequent enough like 7 out of 10 times.
It seems that the lagging period increases when the screen is off; so, I guess, when the phone is in standby mode.

I can't think of anything else that are not properly sync up. Even if there are some, I'm not aware of it because those are not time sensitive or I don't use it much. :dontknow:

I've run some test and found out that it only occurs when the phone is on 4G.
I can get instant messages when I am on Wifi or 3G.
Hmmm. Is this firmware issue? Hardware? Software?
