HTC Incredible Release Date
Meh. They have to pay the bills somehow. If they only put out high-end Android devices to power users, we'd probably end up bitching that their network can't handle the load. I hope LOTS of parents buy these for their kids and tweens, all nice and loaded up with texting and data packages. That's were Verizon makes their real money, which might mean a faster LTE rollout for the rest of us.I'm sorry but this whole Kin idea embarrasses me to be on the Verizon network. I understand that this device is being marketed towards tweens and teens, but knowing that my monthly bill helped further this project makes me want to demand a refund.
Respectfully to all,
Looking back at the last big device (Droid), there was already solid info leaked at the two week window point. Given the lack of announcements, are folks here going to continue to believe the Incredible is releasing on 4/29? Perhaps that is when they will anounce pre-order, but there is nothing firm or substantiated to suggest 4/29 is happening for actual sell-through to consumers.
The "150K in one warehouse" is a red flag IMO, not to mention the "inventory control" person at a Verizon store (no such position) got info, etc. The "Big launch Monday" shows how folks can grasp on to something and conclude what they want.
Also, how would there already be an extended battery for aftermarket? If any of this pans out, I will eat the biggest crow (with A1, please) that I can find, but nothing makes sense for a 4/29 launch.
Seriously, has any other device had an extended battery ready for aftermarket already? If so, why have the prototypes the vender used to design and test the aftermarket battery not leaked out as info as well (point being, why no prototypes or samples more visible yet)?
If there are no substantial leaks this week- end of April is not happening.

Except for the leaked Best Buy docs saying 29th launch date, which has been confirmed by multiple VZW sources as a VZW document, and so far it's 2 for 2 on which phones will be highlighted in the BB weekly circular.
maybe verizon has given out the phone and made people sign confidentiality wavers that would be very easy to do right? Like hey check out our new phone coming out, start making accessories and when we announce it your more than welcome to start selling! BTW I do not think the name will be the HTC incredible, I just do not see that happening. I know the user guide says it but I still would bet on it not being that when it is finally released

Hopefully they'll wait at least a day after it's released so we can all give each other high 5's and thanks on each other's posts to close things out.I seem to recall the mods saying the thread would be closed once the Incredible is actually released.

Working on another piece of information would fit in with the rest of the puzzle but have to put it through the ringer...
Will post later this evening whether it's a dead end or not...either way, you'll know.
