He said "newly ported number" which I would think means he is keeping his current number and porting it from Sprint to VZW.

ahh sorry read it too fast my bad. Well for future reference the nice thing about GV is you can always change the number you forward to so you will never need another number again as long as you use your GV number.

Get a google voice account and you never have to get a new number :)

I have google voice already. I use that number for business. However, my family doesn't take to change very well, so i *SIGH* have to keep the same number so they can reach out to me.

Its not like porting the number costs anything.

So I never said they had 150,000 in a warehouse it was on a B.O.L.:) Big Difference.

Could possibly still be correct, but main issue is what the original source saw it on. If a virtual warehouse that is showing total stock at all distribution points (warehouses) or just "one"?

Verizon would not stock all at one place in the US. Too expensive and inefficient for distribution.

I hate to break it to all of the "You could tell they knew something by their body language" stories, but if Verizon employees got any kind of official word, we'd know about it within minutes from viper, ibowtoandroid, or one of the other great sources we have here.

If a VZW employee seems fidgety, he probably is just fidgety. I'm sure that as soon as one of the many great moles we have finds out anything, it will be leaked here before any normal Joe has time to go to a store ask about the Incredible, get home, and post about it.

I really think all VZW employees are just as in the dark about the release as we are.

why bash on the razr? I've had 6 of them. Granted the first 5 were each defective in some way, then I switched to a VE20 (next gen razr) and it's a FPOS.

oh, wait, I was defending the razr...

bring on the incredible, I'm ready

agreed

Anon....do u think they're getting the phone for training?

I'm trying to get a message back from my buddy that has a few sprint stores to see what the timetable usually is on dummy phones arriving to time of sale to the public. My belief is generally these are used as sale tools rather than training so I have to believe that this phone is really close to being at point of sale soon

YES. I don't understand why people seem to think they all know and are holding out on us.

Rookie mistake Anonimac...the outliers around here will pretty much break down everything you do or don't say into repercussions upon their daily lives. You risk upsetting the asylum with teasers like that.

Not if the device actually shows up and specs "leaked" are confirmed :) The Spanish Inquisition takes place if no device info by end of week ;)

even though i do enjoy reading them, i must say, if the thousands of retail/sales employees at verizon knew something chances are that some of them are going to spill it therefore us knowing just as much as them.

The real next gen razr was the RAZR2(V9M) which I really liked until it was stolen. The VE20 was probably just the red-headed step brother of the original Razr.

Now I'm back to my original RAZR until the INC hits.

As Bruce Willis says, "Yippe Kayay, @#$%^!!" :D

If this thing isn't called the Incredible, my vote goes to HTC Raptor. Unsurpassed technology and it flies below the radar.

Just set up Google Voice (thanks for the invite Geo), got a couple questions:

If someone calls my Google Voice # and routes to my VZW phone, does it count against my monthly minutes? I remember hearing the texting doesn't count (I think?) so you can drop texting as long as you don't picture/video text (btw anyone know if Google has plans to support this?).

Thanks! Kinda excited about the features of Google Voice :)

it counts unless you have 5 or 10 free numbers and count GV as one of them.

Yes, it counts against your minutes like standard calls if you pick up on your cell phone.(With GV, you can have your one GV # ring to multiple phones including skype)

Edit: Time to go Steven58....I mean workout.

Viper, any idea how long it was from the time we had this type of information to release with the Droid? That might point to something?

While mine and Anon's source may not be in the same job type per se, mine is a Developmental Trainer. Which if not self explanatory develops the trainings that the trainers use. Earlier in the year he belived that there wouldn't be any new training to develop since the Incredible and Eris are basically the same phone.

This 'early' release of the phone to him may mean something or not. Haven't heard anything more than He's getting it this week.

Post more when I know it.
