No Contract Phone

What is another phone that is similar to the N4? By this I mean can be used with a carrier but no contract and have pretty good specs.

When my plan expires with Vzw I want to go to a no contract (pay as you go) plan.

Thnx.

Virtually every reasonably powerful phone is available contract free, but of all of them the N4 is probably the best and certainly the cheapest. Why wouldn't you just buy another N4?

I think you can get pretty much any phone other than network's own-brand phones SIM-free, but like jhsrennie says, you're going to pay a heck of a lot more for anything that comes close to the N4.

For example, a 16GB SIII costs around

Thanks again. I am leaning towards buying an N4 when current contract ends. I guess you could pay full price for any phone, didn't think about that. The N4 is the best price also, I suppose.

It really depends on the carrier as most phone carriers have no contract devices, I was with Virgin Mobile for a few years and although their phones are pretty good and inexpensive the service was horrible, so you gotta look at what their no contract plans have to offer. When I say service I meant the data speeds. I went and bought a prepaid T-mobile phone and carried over my number from VM, although it took a few days, tested the network with a low end android and I loved it, so I decided to buy the Nexus 4, right now I'm paying $30 a month for 100 minutes and Unlimited Txts/Data but as said it all depends on what carrier and the preference of the plan\

Also the reason why I went with T-mobile is because you can just buy a new phone without having to boot out of your contract and just swap out the SIM cards
