Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Check with VZW. I think they put all of their GNex accessories half off when they EOL'd the device. The may still have some OEM extended batteries.

Thanks for the tip, my employer discount gives me an extra 25 percent off accessories. So that might be a good route.

Edit: Verizon website doesn't have any batteries listed under all accessories :(

Wouldn't trust their website for anything.
I remember several years ago having to buy a new charger for my flip phone which was quickly discontinued. It may have been way back in the store, but they found it nonetheless (and it was quite cheap). :)

No worries! Although iPad mini? Really? ;) j/K I would take anything right now, since my Nexus 7 got broken. :(

LOL. I know, I know. It's not my first choice of platforms, but the iOS is the only format supported for my pilot manuals.

After using it for a few weeks I can honestly say I'm still a die hard Android fan!

I know it's been a while, but I tried these steps to unroot and lock, and it didn't work.

Did you have to uninstall SU first or something? It just seems to reboot for a while and then I'm back setting up JBSourcery.

If you have your access to a computer, your best bet is to flash a factory image through the bootloader. This will wipe it back to 100% factory stock with nothing from left you left behind.

Evening all! Happy to see everyone. My nexus 7 just successfully took an OTA and did not lose root... YAY! On A Nexie note, I too have had a lot of lag lately. Thinking about using Wugs to go completely stock, un root and lock. Then start over, any thoughts?

What ROM are you running Copa? Before going stock (gag), you should wipe and consider JDX (the ROM formerly known as JellyBelly) Pretty fast and stock-like without the bells and whistles of some of the other ROMs.

Welcome back Capn!
I agree JDX/Jelly Belly is worth a shot, I like it because it's smooth and pretty close to stock.
Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Had a crazy day today making up for the day off yesterday... But all is well.

Had to make an extended phone call to samsung this morning, having some issues with the Apps ID needed for my TV and blue ray... Seems Noone knows why I can't add my CC#, lol. Was pretty fun to walk through the script with tech support tho.. Haha
Also finally got the gaming computer brought down and hooked up to the TV.. Tomorrow mornings game of choice? Skyrim! Oh and I am still trying to figure out the best way to get the cable shows of our choice through the Internet.. More about that soon...

I did that not to long ago. After about 2 weeks or so I flashed Sourcery 4.5 and I have been have lag and just plain weirdness. I'm currently waiting for 4.6 to see if there is a difference.

Good to see Capt. Ron back! This is just a fun place to check in.
Grandma has an unrelated question. It's probably simple, but it's late and I'm afraid my brain has no more to give: I need to forward a work number to my Gnex. I have followed all the steps on the Yealink office phone , but the calls still don't come to MY cell. I will check in the morning. This old girl just needs to stop.....now. Good night, young people.

Morning all! Not much can get me up this early, willingly at least. Robin Roberts returning to Good Morning America is one of them. Its nice to see her back at the desk.

Morning! So i guess that means SwiftKey Flow Beta will be expiring soon huh? I really like that keyboard, so will definitely be supporting swiftkey 4.

Had a delta flight run off into the grass/mud here in Savannah last night. Came in hot, and tried to make the turn for the last taxiway, but didn't make it. I just pictured Cap'n facepalming at his colleague. :p

She is a sweetheart. However, I'm a Today Show person.
Savannah Guthrie is really hit or miss, but Matt never seems to skip a beat and Al is Al. :)

And that's why every station has their own show - different preferences. :D
(And I'll be nice and keep my opinions to myself on this one)

I'll admit, part of it is that since we use an OTA antenna for tv, NBC comes in the best, and that's generally the reason why it's the only channel we watch.
Plus, I love Kathy Lee and Hoda when I can catch em. :)

I love the fact that they built it into the normal SwiftKey app so that I don't need to buy a other just for the flow. I probably would have, but like the fact that I don't have to.

Good Morning all and thanks for the suggestions. Captain, I am on Sourcery 4.5. I think I will see if sourcery 4.6 makes a difference and if not, i am going to try JDX. If I do end up relocking and returning to stock, i wont stay there, just go there to try and clean everything up and then unlock re-root and flash again. However, Halon did this and has had "just plain weirdness" that is a great way to describe my issues. EG, sometimes the screen is black and i can not get it back on , then it randomly comes on by itself. Other times, i can not answer a call and finally, it freezes.

However, I do still love our Nexie and do not think I will be upgrading soon, plus, so far nothing i "need" more, lol. Have a great Hump Day everyone!
