Where's JellyBean???

I'm still very happy with my Nexus 4 already on 4.2.2. If the new One phone or M7 whatever they are calling it is really amazing then I might pick one up. But for now I'm sticking with Nexus devices. I also wouldn't mind trying out the new BlackBerry Z10 out.

I really wish I had one. If only I had money :P

Carrier Bell ( Canada) is now updating their Galaxy S2 to jellybean. A 2011 flagship has a more current OS then our One X.

I got a really good deal on my Nexus. I'm honestly going to stick to unlocked devices. But i don't know how that will work out for me in the long run. I'm going to wait on the z10 for a good while so maybe BB can work out some of the bugs that I've seen.

Its is sad. I love the One X, its a great phone. I hate seeing good phones being looked over. Or honestly I hate when companies not not giving a shit about a great phone or their customers. Yeah I'm talking about you at&t not like you care.

I'm hoping this week coming up. I had to hear a coworker talk about jellybean on his big @$$ note 2. Nice phone but touchwiz is garbage.

I honestly don't mind touchwiz it has calmed down a lot. It is a lot less intrusive and it seems to be more "Android". I also like a lot of the things the note 2 can do.
But I honestly think it will be a long time before the one x will get jb.

I rooted my phone yesterday but after flashing TWRP I can't get Supersu to install I get a, "There is no binary installed and SU can't install it".

Did you flash the SU zip or did you just unlock and flash TWRP? If you just installed the SU app, there's a little more too it than that.

What are you looking to do, just root or go for a JB ROM? If you're just looking at a ROM, TWRP is all you need. :)

I forgot to copy the SU zip to the phone. i ended up flashing it via TWRP. Right now downloading ViperXL then installing it. I'm done with waiting. Plus Viper gives ota updates I think.

Finally did it! Couldn't sit back and watch all these phones get jellybean while at&t lags on the One X. Rooted and installed Viper XL 3.2.3.

Software Version (Notice the percentage in the battery)

Hold on, wasn't there a software version or something that prevented rooting the one X on at&t??!!
If not, I might look doing it too then, need to find a good step by step guide as I never rooted before.

This was my first time rooting. Pretty easy with the instructions I followed.

Pretty sure they already found a way to root it.

The second my warranty expires (which at this pace will be before the update) I am rooting and flashing, but I think I am going to go the cm route.

I looked at this, and it is like reading German. I wish I could do it, but man does that look confusing.

It was the same for me but it's actually pretty easy. Well worth the try because this Viper ROM is sweet. You can customize pretty much everything on this phone. Colors, button layouts, remove bloat, lockscreens, custom boot up animation, etc. You name it and this ROM pretty much covers it. Battery life is probably the same as stock and it's pretty smooth. So far everything works and I will no longer wait for a carrier update.

I tried. I really tried. I couldn't even get past the step that says "click on BOOT INTO BOOTLOADER." I swear, I'm a total moron. I can't put my kids' Christmas toys together either. Oh well.

finally got around to rooting! Considering I knew nothing about it until I read the link it was actually pretty easy, just have to follow the steps carefully.

ViperXL 3.2.4 with jellybean FINALLY. :)
