Root the aokp 4.2.2 inverted mms conundrum

so aokp is the SHIZ and inverted apps are teh liquid sex. it just makes sense.

i've got the cm10.1 fix on 4.2.2. but anytime i try to install an inverted mms apk (or drop the apk into my /system/app folder and reboot) the mms gets borked and im stuck looking at the word "sending"


anybody have any ideas? i tried using travp624's inverted mms, justunbeans inverted mms, and maybe one other one i cant remember the name.


what all do i need to be checking and verifying to get this to work?
 
i'm looking for the inverted aokp/cm10 stock mms apk specifically...trying to keep my phone's motif consistent.

i'll check that one out tho. if its sexy i'll use it.
 
OK, I give up. What are inverted apps? I've been seeing this phrase for a few weeks now, and I've assumed they were apps where the white background is now black, and the black text is now some other color (perhaps white).

I am now off to Google to find my answer and some screen shots. Feel free to share your own screen shots as well :)
 
You are correct. Some people like me like a phone with a darker base. My current theme is black and white, mostly black.

Here are some screenshots of the JusTunBean inverted apps which are probably the most popular. Unfortunately, the developer has retired but they are still around with separate versions for 4.1.x and 4.2.x.
