I'm guessing it's someone at the store/company who knows the phone inside and out, so they can answer the tougher questions on it for troubleshooting, etc...

I could be wrong though. Maybe Viper can chime in and let us know?

Yes, that's very reasonable to say.

By the way, just a general comment...
It's a bit tough to be a general participant on this thread if every word is scrutinized. When i posted the "blank" (white font) post, it was just because i heard the quote this morning, reminded me of the good book (Somethign Wicked This Way Comes), thought it kinda pertained to our situation and play on words and various definitions of "wicked", and the post had nothing to do with anything cryptic or anything, just having some fun. In fact it wasn't even related to the news i was able to share just a few minutes later.

Just giving you guys a little insight that some of us staff (Guide's, Mod's, etc...) wouldn't mind simply participating in the thread too but it seems like it's pins and needles if anything is said by a person who's "color" is different. Oh snap, stop being racist! lol Stop profiling me! j/k:cool:

Seriously though...sometimes i'm just trying to participate and cut up a bit with you guys.

you could go back to your old phone if it doesnt release in your 30 days (God forbid). Your contract would be erased and you could upgrade to the Incredible when it releases. No restocking fee.

Anon as you can imagine we're all a little sensitive around here, and as one of our trusted sources your words hold a lot of weight.

the never ending teases of "potential" info / pics ... people "inclined" to this forum in the know... week after week of it's "close" = sad.

i'm just sayin.

i guess the guides gotta "feed" the machine here ... that's their job I guess.
it is just starting to look like hyping traffic to phandroid.
ans it's starting to feel like a verizon store.
 
Question - once this handset drops and we've all wiped the drool off it, what are we going to do with the time normally spent posting on and refreshing this thread? Will we actually have to be *gasp* productive?!

I agree. Just announce when the phone is coming out, so I can stop thinking about getting a droid or a droid 2 or switching to Sprint. I just want to get on with my life.

Disagree with the EDIT, bacon makes everything better, even a horse.;)

For peeps complaining about Verizon, the grass is always greener: I am on Tmo:

1. You all have Droid and we have the Cliq (jeesh)
2. Have HD2, but on a soon dead OS with no Flash 10.1 support and many reports of lagging UI.
3. Tmo version of the TP2 has no 3.5mm audio jack
4. Most of Tmo devices use three year old hardware (7200 series chipset)
5. 3G has weak coverage areas and is very laggy connecting to sites compared to Verizon 3G. I have a G1 and N900 and both are laggy with 3G.
6. 2G coverage and data have looong gaps for no coverage. We went to Cedar Point and had almost 40 miles of no coverage coming from the west of the area. Verizon had 3G in the same area, for gosh sake.

The rep looked up our account and said yes you are eligible for NE2 with $50 rebate on 1st line (mine). I won't just buy a phone for my wife before her trying it out so I took the reps card and said I'd talk to my wife. Well, my wife wanted to head to Roanoke this evening and return some stuff and spend time together. We stopped at the corporate Verizon store expecting to upgrade her phone. NO DICE!!! So got to talking to the CSR and found out that the non-corporate rep was jobbing me out of another $50 dollar rebate ($100 for every 2 year upgrade, $50 for every year upgrade on primary line). She was offering me the 1 year upgrade, 4 days from when my NE2 was up (which is 4 months before your 2 year contract is up). What a b****h. I know the non-corporate rep is paid on commission but she not only lost mine and my wife's commission b/c she tried to job us but I will spread the word to students, who are looking to upgrade to smart phones for rotations to not even bother with that store.
So for some incredible news. I told the CSR that my wife liked the Palm Pixi but I was waiting. He asked for what and I told him there is a new phone out towards the end of the month. He asked if I cared to share which one that was as he was aware of 6 (SIX) coming out in April/May. I said it was a HTC phone. He said oh, you mean their new android phone. I said yes, you'd heard anything not on the forums. He mentioned that it was due out toward the end of the month based on the information he has received from corporate but did not have an exact date. Anyway, that is my incredible news. Thanks for reading my ramble.
One more thing. Anyone think it'd be awesome if they made a commercial referencing a box from montana and as theyopen it cut away (kinda like the original storm commercial but have the guys/girls open it just say INCREDIBLE!! Thanks again MM, Kappy, Anon, apang, NKT, and any others I missed.

Is it me or are posts like this reaaallllyyy difficult to read. I think you might be able to get your point across by either using bullet points or more breaking it down into paragraphs. Not flaming here, just a kinda suggestion.

Joke of course....you might want to consider a new profile just to keep every other word you type out of context, and speculated cryptic codes.

So if you have specific questions please ask. Sounds like you're taking some offense or have concerns with my wording...i don't mind clarifying, just ask. I can tell you that "potential" is just saving my own ass from the mass flame machine if i can't get pics...i know how that goes, i've witnessed 665+ pages of it. "Inclined"...take that as you will, but i can't say any more than that, and it's in all of our best interest if those sources continue to stay protected.

Happy to keep discussing...just ask.
