We have other devs. I'm still a beginner but I'm working on refining my OC kernel for JB 4.2. It still has some bugs to work out of it but it's there if anyone wants to give it a shot.
tdm: thanks for all you have done for this community. I never would have thought of developing a kernel if it wasn't for you.
Speaking of my kernel, do you have any idea why it would be really glitchy while scrolling? It's fast but scrolling anything is really choppy unless HW overlays are disabled. And then, it's still a little choppy. I, personally, think it might be something to do with my overclock code but I'm not sure. Any input would be appreciated.

Yeah that's the idea. You probably noticed I am not really a customization hound, I mostly like the challenge of getting new devices working. So you get to benefit from that for a long while and I get to find a new challenge.

I just responded to you in the other thread you started young.
Basically the difference is AOKP42 has a lot more features. You can customise it more. CM is pretty close to stock android whereas AOKP has some very useful tools built-in
Both look like stock android though as far as the UI and both have hundreds of custom themes you can download in the play store and switch between. It's like getting a whole new rom anything you want.

Anyone else have a weaker signal on this compared to cm10?

it's showing less bars for sure but my connection seems to work the same. I haven't checked the dbm strength
There was some discussion about it here, http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?t=691068, conclusion is it's just a display issue, bars aren't properly displaying the actual signal strength.

Ok after using aokp42 longer I have come to realise that it's still not as smooth as cm10.1 beta 4 but it is just as smooth as the preview version. It is also better than the previous versions of aokp. I'm sticking with it because frankly this phone's hardware is old now and if we want perfect smoothness we need the new stuff. This version of aokp42 it's very good.

So with the pending commitments of both the CM and AOKP team to add the VS920 as supported devices, it looks like my days as a VS920 dev are drawing to a close. I may or may not continue to make kernels, depending on demand -- we have a couple of kernel devs in the forum that can take my code and run with it.
It's been great fun. Undoubtedly the most fun and the most rewarding of my experiences with Android devices so far.
what will happen with your spectrum? will it fall into the hands of another dev?
we have cm10.1 and aokp42... now we just need miui and PA

Not sure .. it may replace the old Nook Color that the kids use to play games, since the Nook's touch screen is showing signs of dying.
