Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10.1, AOKP42)

yep got the same thing as mrb should of read this before booting into CWM! but it was very smoother, better than cm and aokp and pacman

Didn't you guys get the warning about recovery installation when you exited cwm? I did on my p930. I guess I should have looked into that before I posted the ROM.

yeah i got the warning but i accidentally clicked reboot system twice, then i knew it was the fix recovery flash thing and i pressed no and then i knew i pressed and was like this:hmmmm2:

it's good to hear you guys saying it runs really smooth. Makes me look forward to trying it out. Though the april 10th version of cm10.1 has been running pretty smooth for me for the past week there are moments of sluggishness.

For me, it's a bit better than aokp. When I cabbed v7 last night, I forgot how smooth stock was compared to some of the roms.

Have you been able to confirm if data works? It wasn't working for me on the last build.

No I don't have VZW service.

But give it a shot, I did remove something that may have been overwriting the custom VZW APN list.

whilie using the aokp42 on i_vzw my screen wont turn off at all. is there a fix for that? i used the cm10.1 and had no issues with anything

IMPORTANT - PROBLEMS WITH VZW ACTIVATION

After hours of trying to figure out why my phone would not activate with VZW and had an incorrect phone number in the system, I found the solution.

After flashing ROM, it will try and activate. Activation will FAIL, DO NOT PUSH SKIP. Just push the HOME button. Go to SYSTEM SETTINGS -> WIRELESS AND NETWORKS -> MOBILE NETWORKS -> CDMA SUBSCRIPTION. Choose RUIM/SIM - VZW Will not work with the CDMA option because they use the SIM for the phone info instead of the hardware.

Now boot back into recovery and REFLASH the ROM. It will boot up and sucessfully activate!

:)

I'm surprised you were able to change it. Most people have been having to flash back to stock to toggle to RUIM/SIM prior to flashing. Though, most people's SIM is already activated from stock before flashing roms.... So they normally just experience a lack of signal. There's been a few instances of people saying they lost signal with toggling the option being the fix.

Good that you figured it out though.

Dunno... I had the latest nightly installed and didn't have that problem. But that's what can happen with flashing nightlies.

TDM... There isn't anyway to talk you into fixing the screen on delay bug in cm 10.1 beta is there?

Something in triggers kernel fixed it but also triggers kernel caused massive flickering. It would be awesome if tdm's version of cm10.1 was fixed because beta 4 was definitely the smoothest running rom ever on this phone. I have no idea why but it's very noticeable. If all I got was the lock screen delay I think I could live with that but I also got flickering on beta 4.

Beta 4 is my daily, i keep going back to it. It also has the best battery life, at least for me. I get a little flicker ever now and then, but only on the lock screen. 9/10 times it stops once unlocked, if not a screen off and on stops it.

I really don't know where that comes from...

perhaps you can look into triggers kernel and see whats different because like I said triggers kernel got rid of the screen on delay but in turn caused massive flickering. Just a thought...
