The work you've done here has been great. and the work getting the leaked "info" has been great too.

I understand if you think my frustration was aimed at you .. cuz i just started blurting stuff out. But it really wasn't.

I guess I should have just said ... "screw it..I'm sick of these "leaks" and "potential" leaks .. I just want an official announcement!"

But an official announcement is something you and/or this forum cannot produce. We are at the mercy of VZ and their timetable (however frustratingly loooong it is).

So, again ... my intention was not to hammer you.

carry on with leaks, pics, pdf's, inventory screengrabs ... etc....
i'll just try to limit my frustration while awaiting something official.
 
Sweet Gee-Zus I just took 45 minutes catching up.

Got word yesterday that IAM's get their Incredible devices soon to show off and play with.
That's usually a sign that it's a couple weeks away. Still nothing official internally as far as a launch date.

I asked the forum a similar question and have done some independent research on my own. From what I've found and been told, HTC's Sense adds functionality over stock Android 2.1. I was looking specifically at Exchange support, and it appears that the Incredible will sync email, contacts, and calendar (calendar added over stock Android). In addition, certain frustrations with the Droid (i.e., being able to accept/reject meeting invites within a corporate, Exchange email) have been resolved. The two (2) things I specifically was concerned with were the in-email meeting options and access to the global address list (GAL), and both of these are taken care of by using Sense.

NOTE: I have not independently confirmed these, however, and I am not sure what other functionality you may be looking for. But, know that if any android phone will offer the business-centric options you need, it would appear that the Incredible is at the top of that list.

apang's comment earlier about Touchdown is the other option, but it's $10 (a businessy guy/gal like you shouldn't have any trouble writing that off on yer taxes, though ;)). Touchdown's website shows a long list of its features.

Hope this helps. If you get any new/better information or sources, I'd appreciate knowing too.

I introduced myself a few days ago but this morning I'm finally admitting to my addiction to the Official HTC Incredible Thread. This thread has become a normal part of my daily news update. I feel so dirty.
 
Would it be stupid to have a recap post? Something that has all of the confirmed information, specs, Q & A, etc on this page or the next? Save folks from having to read through 665 pages to see what the heck is going on? Just a suggestion.

I agree that a little OT convo is fine sometimes, but the fact that the age, job, mortgage status, etc...topic caused multiple pages of OT comments when there was already a thread open for those comments was a little much.

It's a gray area to where the OT oversteps itself, but I think most of us agree that that particular topic went a little overboard to not have its own thread.

someone probably already mentioned this, but it's not a bacon horse.... if i had to guess it would be a bacon AT-AT, whose metal counterparts lit up the screen in The Empire Strikes Back.

I love bacon.

In a kinda on topic response to all the 720p questions, there is a video that's been floating around the net for a while, maybe since MWC, that has an HTC rep demoing Sense on a (Desire maybe) that can be heard answering the same question to the effect that the hardware is capable but the feature would not be immediately available. if i can find the video i'll relink it. it's in this forum somewhere.
 
Yet another nail in the coffin of the idea that this phone is going to magically change names soon. Why build a redirect that you don't want people to go to? It's going to be the HTC Incredible —*and it's going to be MINE. :)
