I'm new to this so bear with me. Can I use my home wifi with my new samsung s3 to talk on the phone? If yes, how? I live in a very remote area with terrible signal strength. Will wifi usage go against my data plan?Thanks.

I do it all the time using Talkatone, which I downloaded at the Play Store. It works on my GS3 as well as with my Nexus 7.
 
Hi Guys, im new comer here..

I have samsung galaxy s3 since a month ago. Troubles started when i installed Go Launcher at mydevice a view days ago. But the software consumed the battery a lot. I forced to stop the software. After that, all sound for text services such as sms, Line service, email,all notification, and whatsapp, are not rung anymore. But, for incoming call ringtone, lock screen sound, keypad sound are in normal function. I had reset the device, everything back to normal again. After install a new game, the troubles came back again. Whats wrong with the device? Thank you

My Contacts have some of their Picture as their Facebook Profile picture, some don't. If I go to the Facebook Settings and click "Only Sync with Existing Contacts." That however syncs ALL of my Facebook Contacts. What the ****. Help is appreciated.
 
hi guys i am having a big issue with multitasking and was wondering if anyone could help , after the jellybean update i was able to see active/running apps and switch to them or stop them from running by holding down the home key as im sure your aware of , but it now no longer works for some reason and i cant find anything in the settings, im using the touchwiz launcher and am wondering if anyone knows a solution for this thanks in advance
 
I'm just began having an issue with my phone. I open a folder on one of the home pages and I get an annoying voice telling me that I opened a folder. Then when I was close the folder, it tells me that I closed it. How did I turn this on? More importantly, how do I shut it off?

Have tried factory reset mate?
I know this isnt a cure but i use "dock4droid" for multitasking instead of the home button and love it

You have to remember that these phones will automatically fall back to the next data/voice connection system they can (4G LTE, 4G, 3G, E, HPFS/GPS) depending upon the strength of the signal available. So you may not have a very strong 4G or 4G LTE tower signal near your place of residence, thus it has no choice but to fall back to 3G to keep you connected. Hope this helps.

Can someone please help with this situation? It's very frustrating having all these "FB Contacts" that I don't want.
 
My Galaxy S 3 and Galaxy Nexus phones have been having problems with one-way audio phone calls as of late and tech support has no clue what the issue is or how to fix it. Does anyone have any info on this or know where I can go for help?

The problem is that I can be talking to someone from my phone and all of a sudden the other person cannot hear me, but I can still hear them asking if I am still there or not. Same thing on the other phones on my account. I have a home phone connect too that it is affecting. It happens on a daily basis no matter where I am.

It would make your battery last longer too! Ever heard of "Slow Charge" ?
it causes less heat on the battery.

An electronic rule-of-thumb:
1 degree of added heat = 10 years of life reduction.

Just my 2 cents....

swiping till you're blue in the face won't work if MOTION is not turned on, and if the "Palm Swipe To Capture" isn't turned on!

I suggest checking each. if they're on, toggle off, then on again then reboot and try again!

Just updated my Android OS JB and I think I need a little more time to appreciate the updates. Tho the multitask bar that suddenly appeared on my screen is annoying. Anyone know how to remove that?
 
Our phone is also interrupting calls. It beeps a couple of times and then goes to the home screen or tells us that we can no longer use email, internet, or something else??????
 
heeey! ! i can only access my samsung galaxy s3 into download mode.... no recovery mode..and the usb debugging is off !! i cant do anything via odin or adb or any flash tool ! sooo how can i recover my phone!
i think i should flash the room but odin is not workin ! plz help as sooon as possible !

I tried search for this but didn't see anything. In the standard email app you can set up Quick Responses and there is supposed to be a menu option to insert them. I don't get the menu option.

Is anyone else running into this? Any solutions?

Worst case turn them off in contacts, essentially tells it not to show contacts that are on the phone via facebook, will still show contacts that you added manually and their FB numbers.

I had that same problem and I am with AT&T. Just last week (2/8/13) there was an update put out and it fixed the problem
 
I have the Samsung Galaxy SIII and AT&T is my carrier. I have several apps that after I force close--they come back on. I find this to be an issue in draining my battery more quickly. Some of the apps are AT&T Messages, ChatOn, all of the Gmail/google apps and YouTube. Any suggestions on how to keep these closed until I want to use them?

Go to settings, app' manager, tap "all" at the top, find the app, tap disable :)
If you want to re-enable an app, you can find disabled apps at the bottom of the list.
Dont disable anything unless you know what it is (only disable the apps you can access in the app drawer. Dont disable "messaging") :thumbup:
