***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

Now more on topic, I'm seriously stressing over this phone now. I can't wait until I have one in my hands. However, after purchasing the BB Storm 1 without a test run I'm a little gun shy and will be certain I give the Incredible a good 'once over' to make sure I'm not wishing phone death 6 months down the line. But based on everything I've seen and heard I feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Also, my contact who tests the phones for HTC didn't get to test the Incredible, he was testing the Desire. But he said the Desire was the best phone he's had his hands on (previous iPhone user) and said from what he knows the Incredible is at WORST an equal counter to the Desire.

More warm and fuzzys....

Honestly, I'm going to buy the Incredible sight unseen. Of course, living here in Montana, I don't have the carrier options that most of you have, so that's a factor. However, I know that Verizon has THE MOST stringent testing in the industry, and HTC is the biggest up and coming player in the smartphone realm. In addition, I have heard nothing but rave reviews about the Android platform and, having followed this thread since the very first page, I will have absolutely zero regrets six months down the road! :)

The N1 is $529 unlocked w/o contract. I'd say you are looking at a price similar to that for the Incredible w/o a contract or NE2. My guess is $199 after rebates and 2yr contract. Subtract your NE2 discount from there.

stupid question:
what was eris's price point? wasnt it only $99 with a new two year contract/extension? while the droid was $199? does this mean the incredible will only be $99?

No, they aren't really related. The eris was never supposed to be their best phone available. The Incredible will cost more than the droid. I'd guess this will be $200-250 and the droid will be $150-200 depending on the Incredible's price.

Perhaps you need this reminder...

That's not license to ramble on for 20 pages about hockey or whatever else. I think we need to at least make an effort to be Incredible-centric, and that doesn't mean making bad puns every other line about the "INCREDIBLE save that the Red Wings' INCREDIBLE goalie made in that INCREDIBLE game the other night", etc. etc. ad nauseum.

This is the Incredible forum, not your Facebook wall.

yah. I know, thats why I said 1 or 10 posts is ok but 10 pages a day... if you read it.. i also said people are losing their sanity here. Im just reminding them vz dont care if they lose it. VZ only cares about money, contracts, and subscriber numbers.

You're from Montana? I never would have guessed that! :D

Now we are really getting off-topic when we start talking about getting off-topic.

I'm with you...I'm buying this phone sight unseen and based on my experience with my co-workers Eris, I KNOW I'll be happy...

I saw a request earlier to see pictures taken by the Incredible, and while I can't exactly provide that, I can provide a link to a flickr stream which belonged to a sprint tester, and before our big flickr pictures exploit used to post pictures "Taken With a HTC PC36100", which by looking at the resolution had the same resolution as the Incredible, hence the Supersonic->Evo.

The user has since hidden the exif data information, but I'm pretty sure that they are pictures being taken by the Evo. So if you look for images that have IMAG0147 or at least IMAGXXXX these should be pictures taken by an evo, and should give a good idea of what the Incredible will be working with.

Edit: actually, I've been following this user for quite a while and it seems she has changed picture names from IMAG to actual names. For example, I know for certain that this photo used to be a IMAGXXXX photo, but the majority of pictures taken by this account were IMAGXXXX pictures at one point.

I bought the 6900 sight unseen and have used it for two years, now. I believe that internet reviews are sufficient. I believe I've seen what I need to see having seen the youtube reviews of the HTC Desire. So, when it comes out? I'm snatching it up.

awww i kind of like the incredible puns :(

FWIW that schamble of a super bowl single handily made me a Steelers hater. I actually kinda liked them before that. That game discraced the best sport in the world.

Anyone who is impartial recognizes the Seahawks got screwed.

Do not forget about the Arizona Cardinals also getting screwed over! The steelers get all the breaks just like the idiot Big Ben can get away with sexually assaulting all these young girls and never gets charged what a joke, the steelers are a joke! Seahawks and cardinals all got screwed!!! BTW i am a chiefs fan so I am not biased at all especially when we kicked the steelers ass this year haha :)

I upgraded my sons Eris to 2.1 the other day and he can't stop raving about how much he loves this phone.
He used it with the stock version of Android since Christmas and He and I are both sold on 2.1.
Had me thinking about grabbing one to play with for the next 30 days.

If the way that Eris runs on 2.1 is any indication we should be looking at an absolute BEAST!
