Help Data Stream Locking Up

Over the last week or so my Motions data flow up and down seems to be locking up. Phone continues to show 4G icon at top of screen and arrows will momentarily flash on but no data flow. Restarting does not fix, only a battery pull restores the data function.

I'm pretty sure this first happened prior to a software upgrade that I was prompted to do and did a day or so ago.

Any thoughts why this may be happening or how to prevent. Thanks.

Try powering down the device and removing then reinserting the sim card.
 
Mine did that after upgrade to E.... sorry to say, going back to D fixed that issue.

You "may" see some improvement if you change the PRL in your phone to a version that works better in your locale.
 
Thanks for the tips. Tried removing and reinserting the 4G card, data lock still occured later. Also checked PRL and it was current.

Not sure how to determine the software update (D,E..) I have or if I wanted to how to downgrade.

Something I remembered yesterday was that I had tried the Klink tethering app demo (learned of it from this forum) and later removed. The app required USB debugging which remained on after I removed app so yesterday I unchecked it and will see if that could be what's causing my 4G to lock.

So as I'm a little spooked now of USB debugging I'm wondering if anyone has had success with pdanet wifi or bluetooth tethering (tried with no success) or other wireless tethering app. Thanks.

idk... i cant store them to my sim card on the motion... so probably not lol i forgot about that feature of gsm sims... maybe its just a genral include everyone term there using for ALL the sim cards and uicc cards now... lol
