So funny . . .posted this multiple pages ago . . .going through the same issue!!!

Serious question!!! Please help!!!
On my way to the Verizon store to get a new battery for my LG Dare and will try to get some NEW information on the INC. I want the INC but like the actual keyboard of the Touch Pro 2. All the varying release dates and "rumors" "leaks" "unauthorized info", etc. is driving me insane - LITERALLY!!!

Question??? Just found this video of porting Android 2.1 on the Touch Pro2. . .isn't this the best of both worlds . . .if I get the TP2 and add Android 2.1 I get the best everything I want . . .no?? Plus the best key board on a cell phone EVER!!

Please comment on the pros and cons on this. . .been lurking on the site and know that their are several people on this thread that can give me some good advise on if this is a good move or not . . .getting impatient. My NE2 was March 26th and I am an instant gratification kinda guy.

just wondering i was pressing f5 a ton thinking you were gonna post some news in 15mins.. was that from last night and im just really behind? :confused:
 
So as far as rebates go I've heard a couple of different things and I was curious as to if there was anyone that could clarify. If you go into VERIZON and get the Incredible for $300 and there's a $100 rebate how does that work.

I've heard that at this point the whole process only takes a couple of weeks, is this true or am I looking at a 6 week wait? Ive also heard conflicting reports of what the rebate is ... Is it a gift card to Verizon, a gift card to ANYWHERE, a check, a credit on your account?

And does anyone know HOW you go about receiving the rebate, do you Mail in for it, register online, call in for it? I was hoping someone that has recently gone through this process could answer some of these questions for me.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you'll probably get MUCH better feedback if you go to the Touch Pro 2 forum, rather than posting this in the Incredible forum.

Edit: Should've been more clear since this isn't actually an android phone, sorry. This forum: http://androidforums.com/other-phones-android-non-android/

Very honestly, i think you'd get much more of a bite on this topic in another thread...folks here are really amped about the Incredible... What you're asking is kinda specific to those porting Android over to WM devices, custom ROMs, etc... not really "our thing" here. Just a suggestion, but you may consider taking it elsewhere to get more, and better, answers.

My personal 2 cents: the TP2 is now old, processor is outdated, good luck with UI response and drivers, etc...
 
I had a dream about pre-ordering the phone last night. I think I am just so ready for a new phone (Samsung Eternity on at&t) that I'm getting really impatient.

#1 As far as I can see, IMHO, Anon has been doing an awesome job! This is the first time I have posted, although I have been on here for a while waiting for my Incr with the rest of these fine fellow techies.

#2 How about keeping this one open for a bit after we have our new toys in hand??? We could compare tips etc. while we play? Just a thought.

Can't help but add a Thank YOU! to all who post on here. You have all been keeping me entertained during this wait.

Yeah, I know in reality that I really don't belong here as I don't really have anything significant to say and to share. However, I really like it here. Perhaps when my new Incredible comes, I'll be quieter. I do, however, have a great deal of enthusiasm for this new phone. That's about it.

So what every happened to this week long "journey" Big Red promised.....

I know a journey of a thousand steps starts with 2 steps but if you ask me the 2 steps from yesterday sucked.....how are we to get to the end of this journey if we don't take steps every day!

Regarding #2, the intent is to close just this thread, not the entire Incredible forum. We'll have plenty of discussions I have no doubt.
