Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10.1, AOKP42)

I'm using the toggles that it came with the rom.does that not work yet? That's what I used in the first place

I remember seeing somewhere that the toggle for LTE doesn't work right. I know aiprplane mode toggle works because thats the only one I use. I guess if you need to turn off LTE then go to setting and under networks change it to CDMA only

Are you trying to toggle 4g/3g, or turn data completely off /on? And which ROM are you on?

As IMU said, the LTE toggle will turn 4g off (data will still be on) but I believe will not turn it back on in both CM and AOKP. If you are trying to turn data on /off completely then use the Mobile Data toggle in CM or the Signal toggle in AOKP.

I wanted to get on 3g when somewhere I don't have 4g such as my class.it goes to 3g but doesn't go back to 4g

Yeah, pretty sure those toggles are bugged in both Roms and don't turn it back on, have to go in to the settings menu. You could try some data toggles from the Play store maybe, I don't use that functionality so unfortunately can't recommend anything specific, hopefully somebody else has found a way and will chime in.

Guys..I noticed a wierd issue and wanted to poll you folks. I'm on pageplus and to check balance, I have saved this number string and in stock ICS phone dialer used to work fine with this string and in fact even in other ROMs like ICYFusion 3.4 it works fine. But when I dialed this in CM10.1, dialer dials fine until the 1, and then suddenly I hear a long tone like all the numbers of my phone # as a long beep - so that's where the dialer is screwing it up- then the pageplus system cant understand and the call goes into a deep hole.

the number string is #737,,,1,646XXXXXXX#,,,,,1,3 -

and the dialer dials fine up until #737,,,1, and then it goes into a long dbeep (press)

As I repeat the number string works fine in stock ICS as well as ICY fusion etc. so we know that's not an issue - its probably the dialer.

any help

weird, try a third party dialer

Ever since moving to cm10 b3, all versions since, including cm10.1 m2, I cannot dial things like that. For Google Voice, to call a number that is not in your circle of free numbers, you dial your own Google voice number (ie voicemail) ,,,2,,1(area code) (the number you want to call)# without parenthesis and it counts as a call to your Google voice number, which, if you put your Google voice number in your circle, is always a free call.

But as I said, it has not worked since I started using cyanogen mod. The dialer shows "sending tones: 2" but never sends the rest after the pauses. Works fine when not on cm. Planning on trying aokp this weekend to see if it works, as I share 1400 minutes with 3 phones, so I can keep 10GB /month data for $50 on my phone. (For those who wonder, I normally use between 5.5GB and 8.3GB depending on if and how much tethering I do.

Sorry in advance for this dumb question, but what does this mean from the op:
"[aokp42, i_vzw] screen does not blank. This is a show stopper for aokp42 on i_vzw"

The screen wouldn't turn off on the preview versions of AOKP42. It's fixed in the official release.

The screen stayed pk with AOKP. Get the official one.. It works fine.

lol :p

no. It's a free service, verizon just like to trick people into thinking it's not. ;]

Actually, the FCC ruled that for anyone on a metered data plan... it's a free service.

They can still charge you if you're on unlimited data, since in theory you can pull down tons of data with no extra fees.

Yea, but to the initial question, but only, they can't tell you're using it as a wifi hot spot and start charging you for that service. They'll just see increased data use.
