Cool! Do you know if the Android app will let you import contacts straight off your phone?
no I don't yet, have never used an Android, but have learned all there is to know thus far- here- in our forum!!

But I'm thinking/hoping that the App will make everything seamless and one-stop (And save yourself some texting plan money each month)!!!

Any whispering as to when the training will actually start? I mean, we all knew they had to go through training... Not trying to damper the news, just asking for a clarification.

I believe someone earlier today said that their friend that worked there was going to be have a training on Thursday, I think.

Add me to the list of 1st time poster. Been lurking since the end of Feb. Can't wait for this phone to get here.
Welcome, aboard.

I believe it was Steven who first summoned me out of the woods, cold and scared.

"Don't be afraid, child," he said tenderly.

Take a bow, Steven58!!

I'm a newbie (to Verizon and Android), I had to switch to Verizon yesterday from AT&T because of lack of service in my new office, and my daughter's phone died.

I just have a quick question, I got an Eris so I could get familiar with the Android OS. If I go ahead and add contacts onto the Eris, will they be able to be transferred to the Incredible when it comes out?

Oh..and I am a girl, (well, lady, I'll be 46 on Thursday)

You cans et the contact type. If you choose Google (as opposed to phone), they will be stored online in your google account, and automatically put on any android phone you register with that account. Same with the calender.

BTW.. This has been said before but anyone wanting a Google Voice invite should go to ebay. You can get one for like $4 to $5 using the buy it now feature. If you don't see one posted for that price wait, you will if you keep checking back. I purchased mine and it was emailed to me as soon as I hit the confirm payment button.

Have you guys noticed all the hateful comments on the BGR spec page? Signs of jealousy, which means signs of a successful phone.

I guess this is a good phone. For People that dont want:

*the largest screen available
I prefer something that can actually fit in my pocket

*dont want dual cameras (Or the opportunity to video call)
I'm sure the quality will be fine with the current technology we have now. It would be more of an audio call with giant pixels of your face

*HDMI output
Because I totally connect my phone to my TV

*720 recording
Don't we have the capability?

*Mobile Hotspot
Wireless Tether via Root..and did I mention it's free?

*4G Speeds that wont be available on Verizon till this time next year at earliest
VZW will have 1/3 of the country covered by the end of this year. How about you Sprint? (source)

For those that dont give a shit bout such things(when they probably will years from now) this is the phone for you. For those who want the Greatest…We’ll be in line for the EVO

1. HD2 is VERY similar in overall dimensions to incredible. HD2 has better screen:size ratio. not a valid argument.

2. dual cameras is cool. everybody would like to have that. skype videoconferencing?

3. you WOULD connect your phone to your tv. of course you don't now, because you can't. what if you were carrying a collection of shows/movies in your pocket and could watch them anywhere any time? at a friends who hasn't seen a certain movie yet? one plug and you're good to go.

4. i dunno?

5. you win

6. sprint doesn't have 4g in jerz/nyc so i don't care bout it till they do. chalk up 2 for you

edit: how AWESOME would this thing be if the screen:overall size ratio was the same as the hd2? this thing would be a tiny powerhouse! oh well

Hi Everyone! I have been reading all the posts on here for a very long time on my crappy Blackberry browser. Let me just say...that is how much I am into the HTC Incredible. I can't wait for it to come out just like the rest of you.

Well, I just got an email today from my Verizon source. She said that the Incredible will be available on the 27th. I've dealt with a lot of Verizon reps the past few years b/c of my blackberry phones and she has been the only one that I could really trust, so I'm hoping she is right.

Anyway, just thought I would add to the rumor mill. LOL.

So here it is.... my 600th post! lol.... better make it count, huh, Steven? ;) So... here goes...

Fast-forward to the day that the Incredible is finally released....

Price of a soda pop and candy bar that you bought for the wait in line with the dozens of other Incredible junkies: $2.00

Gassing up the car to head down to your local Verizon store: $40.00

The bundle of cash that you brought with you for your new Incredible and all the goodies: $400.00

The look on Steven58's face as you turn around with your new Incredible in hand, and hearing the helpful salesman sadly inform Steven (who's standing next in line behind you) that you just bought their very last Incredible of that shipment: PRICELESS!!!

:p

Too funny! Poor Steven. lol

Droid 2 and Motorola Shadow might be the same phone or whatever but they'll most likely have a slide-keyboard right?

I'm trying to avoid that so i'm sticking with my HTC Incredible!!

just making sure...

It seems like there have been a lot of female lurkers who have decided to crash the boys party as of late.:)

Edit: Or at least give our Veteran gals some reinforcements.

I believe there was tethering info in the User Guide if I remember correctly.
well I'm sure this is re-hash and forgive me for that, but...

Why would they give us instructions in the UG (which I saved on my hard drive, but haven't read yet)for root tethering that Verizon would seemingly frown upon us for doing?
