Question about price

Hi, I currently have a metro huawei m835 and was going to upgrade to the lg motion. The price is $150 for the motion but I was wondering if I switch my service from the huawei to a brand new lg motion will I still pay $150 for the phone? Hope this makes sense

If you mean you have a Motion already & just wanna transfer service you don't pay anything or if you go to the store you pay $15. If your going to the metro store to buy one you pay $150 then you get a $50 instant rebate then $50 mail in rebate.

I was going to go to the stor and buy one. When I do will the $50 instant rebate take effect? Like will I pay $100 for the phone or will I still have to pay the $150

You will pay $100 in store. You can fill out the rebate form and get $50 back, but it will take awhile because they want to make sure you and keeping your service with Metro or some other randomness

Bottom line: $150 - $50 instant rebate = $100 out of pocket - $50 MIR = $50 dollar amazing phone :D

Here's an update on the rebate. When my wife and I got our Motions we were told by a corporate store that the mir was only for new accounts. We did get the instant rebate, do only paid $109 or so, out the door. We couldn't get the mir though cause we are current Metro subscribers.

MIR applies for everyone so I think you should DL the rebate from the metro site then send it in.

Edit: The link from metro seems to be down.

I think there were 2 renditions of the MIR form.

The earlier one no longer valid, had the rebate available for both new accounts and upgrades. The subsequent and current rendition say only for new accounts.

Oh yeah I forgot bout that.

at bestbuy in michigan all together it was 107.91. there is a 2 or 3 dollar 911 fee they added on now (not sure if country wide or state) that was with a 6% sales tax too :)

3/3 was the last day to get the Motion for this form.

Probably to early for JamesZ but I don't recall when Alfick and his Mrs. got theirs. I do think he's closer to the 3/3 date though.

If you have the right dates on everything I can't see how they could turn you down. I'd sure keep copies though.

Good save there Sepero!

We got ours on the 26th, I think. Thanks.

Quick update: i got the lg motion and it cost $124 for the phone and to switch my service to it, love the phone but i got 1 last question. I have the $50 plan and with it i get 2.5gigs of 4g service, after that i know i will go down to 3g and how does 3g run on this phone? I know it will be slower than 4g of course but I'm just curious :)

You actually can still stay on 4G, its just it will be 0.40MB/s - 1MB/s or less. The 3G on Metro is slow... For me its 0.03MB/s (~3KB/s)

Where i live the 3g is great, i know about the battery killer ''3g'' lol but when i pay my bill next month well i get the 2.5gb again? (the last question i asked wasn't my last :p)

how does 3g run on [metropcs]?
I just ran speed test 3 times (location central florida)
Ping in ms -
138 128 127

Down in KB/s -
14.6 14.5 14.6

Up in KB/s -
18.6 18.7 19.2

I notice that the speeds tend to often float from around 3KB/s - 20KB/s. It's more like 2G speeds than 3G
