THANK GOD! no more stressing...the forum has been fun. but i probably wont be on every minute now. just being honest. i love you guys, just now my life can go on. thank you everyone for all your help over the past month. Anon, Krabby, NTK, everyone....steven....

now time for school. it truly has been an experience waiting for this phone.

What I don't understand is how they know its going to be sunny in New York on May 5th :p

My wife played a cruel joke on me. She works for Qualcomm and usually gets a hold of phones prior to their release. She sends me an instant message this morning and tells me they have 50 Incredibles in their Qualcomm Store. After 10 minutes of heavy breathing and almost feinting she tells me "April Fool's" :( :( :( Anyone know a good divorce lawyer?!
 
Looks like Verizon is fine tuning the site to make it public. SO, SO Excited this is going to be released soon. Love the pictures and how thin the phone is. SO SWEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!

Anyone make this phone as a desktop background yet?

I have to agree that they have a lot invested in the 'Droid Does' campaign. On my commute to work alone I see 3 - 5 billboards of "Droid Does", "Bare Knuckled Bucket of Does", etc.

Droid Incredible will just add fuel to that fire.

My fellow Touch owner raises an excellent observation. I doubt it's likely (user guide and all), but I'm not ruling it out either. The cam on the EVO is pretty small, and it would be possible. A 1.3mp camera gets pretty tiny these days. It's just not likely that it is. Anyone else care to weigh in?

Here's to hoping one of the circles is a camera!

FWIW, I just got off of a *611 call and the guy I spoke to told me in no uncertain terms that this is *definitely* a VZW site. No question. He cautioned me that dates are subject to change and all of that, but that this is a legit page and it looks good. Other than that, they are still clueless as to the existance of the phone.:D

I thought it was interesting though, since this was the second call that I placed as the first person I spoke to was completely uncooperative. She basically told me "If you're not typing "verizonwireless.com" into the address bar, it isn't real.:rolleyes:

As much as I wish you to be right, the lens for the camera on the EVO is covered by clear glass to allow for capturing images. On the Incredible, the sensors/leds are below a tinted glass, because they either only need to transmit light (led notification) or receive a source of light or sense something within proximity of it (light/proximity sensor).

Since I have no secret spec sheets other than the ones already provided (that don't identify a front-facing camera), that's the next-best logical argument I can come up with. I totally hope to be wrong, though.

Wouldn't these simply be the proximity sensors?
