Virgin Mobile Problem and Solution

I know that not everyone is on Virgin Mobile, but if you are and are having trouble with them, here is their tier 3 customer service number (took lots of customer service calls to get): 1-866-553-9805

For 5 weeks, I was not able to receive data service from them because of some stupid update. I even un-rooted my phone to help solve the problem. use the number above with any problems to instantly be connected to a customer service person (no automated screens to go through).

On an Unrelated note, I have flashed google now onto my phone, and it works, but is there a way to update it through the play store? Sometimes when I use it, the app asks to be updated and links me to the play store, but in the play store it says that my device is not supported. How can I get any updates?

The new Google Now supports Jelly Bean ROM's only. Therefore, you have to be on a CM10 ROM to get the latest update.

I have 1-866-553-9807 as the "go to" number. Wonder if they changed it or if there is two?

A Facebook "Virgin Angel" last week confirmed 866-553-9805 as a tech support number, after a customer posted that she received a text with that number in it.

Many companies use a series of consecutive or similar phone numbers. Virgin Mobile seems reluctant to give out alternate numbers, but it's safe to assume they have several.

google brings that number for boost mobile??>>

Thats weird. I have had this number on my OPV for almost two years as the VM customer service number. Not sure if I ever used it. If I did it was when I first got the phone 2 years ago. It is only 2 off the one mentioned in the first post. Wonder if Boost and VM use the same guys in India since they are both Sprint companies??? :)

They will usually change it every soa often. I had a lady from Sprint give me to executive tech support which is higher than level 3. It worked for about 2 months and then reported as out of service.

I'm sure since VM and Boost are part of Sprint they probably have shared tech support and phones are answered differently depending on number you call.
