Every manufacturer has their respective quirks, Samsung you have to flash the recovery and kernel at the same time, LG's bootloaders are almost as bad as Motorola The only phone that I've owned that was ridiculously easy was the Triumph and that's only because they released it before it was finished, it was left in a dev state where it was practically factory rooted, it was so bad that they still had development logs being collected, to the point that you ran out of internal storage and had to factory reset the phone every 4-6 months or root the phone to remove them. Bottom line is that it's never "easy", one way or another.
