Time to start looking for ways to get rid of my blackberry storm! I think selling it on eBay might be the best option... Its pretty much in perfect condition minus one small scratch on the ride side of the screen! :D I think i can get at LEAST $150 for it. I see some going for as much as $200. Honestly, $100 would be okay with me. Omg, April 29th can't come soon enough!

Basically in the picture, each of the red and blue pixels should be split in half and have the other color in there too. This is something that bugs me a lot, and makes me wish they HADN'T used an AMOLED screen. Sure, if it looks good it doesn't matter much, but thats the thing: it distorts colors and just makes things (like text on a website) fuzzier. More resolution is never a bad thing unless it doesn't have a high DPI too. Yeah, using the same DPI as a HVGA screen on a WVGA screen is bad and will make everything smaller. Theres a reason Android supports like 3 different DPI settings. Battery life may be the best argument for this, but even so, I doubt it'd save more than half an hour.

Summary: I think you're dumb if you think they shouldn't have gone with a true 800x480 screen.

Then I'm dumb. As someone who's played with a Nexus 1, the screen on that is absolutely stunning, from web browsing (reading text) to gaming. I think since we don't have the phone in hand we tend to nitpick quite heavily since all we have are specs, but this is one area where we need to step back and stop obsessing over this.

Trying to use my Storm1 is exasperating. It is a Zen thing. I now realize that the Storm1 was put on this earth to teach me patience and anger management. I will drive a large spike right through the center of my Storm on the 29th - that satisfaction is worth $200.

What's the consensus opinion about the timeline for release? Is the 29th when it is available in stores or when pre-ordering begins? Best Buy and VZW stores? Anyone know how the pre-ordering will work...did they do this with the Droid or other new phones?

From what I've pieced together from previous posts, is this a good guess?

Wed-Thurs, April 21-22: Webinar training
Friday, April 23: Pre-orders available (in stores, online?)
Sunday, April 25: Available for sale in Vzw stores
Thursday, April 29: Available for sale in Best Buy stores
