Root [TOOL] AIO ROOT, UNROOT, and RECOVERY INSTALLER (GUI EDITION)

junkie2100

Android Expert
got bored, was tinkering with my cwm installer scripts anyway, so now we have an all in one tool to do everything
mind you the same rules apply
USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I pulled the rooting and unrooting scripts directly from doomlord utilities so i take no credit for the scripts themselves and i do thank him for all his hard work
keep in mind he will not be held responsible either if you break your phone, its on you if something goes wrong

C++ Edition (Windows ONLY)

INSTRUCTIONS:
unpack the zip somewhere on your computer
run AIO.exe

STANDARD EDITION (Windows/Linux/MAC)
DISCONTINUED

INSTRUCTIONS:
works the exact same way as rooting or installing cwm through my auto installer
get zte drivers
get this zip file
unpack it somewhere, doesnt matter where
run the file associated with your OS, if youre running windows, run the file called windows, if youre running linux, run that file, mind you on linux and mac it will ask you if you want to run it in terminal, you will want to run it in terminal
the menu system will take care of the rest, and i removed the bug from the old auto installer script that caused stock recovery to be put back on, so its fully functional now

I will test this out in a few minutes. Need to do an updated CWM backup anyways.

I have no reason to unroot, however its nice to know the option is available.

Thanks man! I could probably figure it out if I downloaded the file, but is this to be used on a pc or can u actually install root through cwm recovery?

Has anyone heard anything about the supposed jellybean update coming to the Sequent ota in period 3 of this year? If that's sent out soon omg I would be so happy :)

Right now I'm just stock rooted & it's working great :D So, CM10 is in beta mode?

your phone is bricked can u get to cwm if not sorry my friend that was the end for your phone never take battery out when update

Yeah, definitely shouldn't have taken battery out during install. Install process takes a good while, but you gotta let it do it's thing ;-) I've always been able to recover my phone, and I've done some scary shit to these devices. When there is a WILL there is a WAY! Try getting back into FTM Mode, or if u have cwm installed try rebooting into some kinda recovery. Stock perhaps? From the sound of it, you probably don't have cwm installed lol But, try getting back into FTM Mode for sure. I Forget the button combination though, sorry.

Sounds like CM10 is gonna be in the works for awhile still? I wish ZTE would give more info about the update :-P If not, I dunno if I can stand the 3G speeds. Coming from the LG Esteem and all. Might look into getting the HTC ONE X...

my phone cant switch on i tuk out my battery during upgradei need help please somebody
what upgrade are you talking about? the root process? yea that will do it, it can probably be repaired but youll have to fix your tmp directory if at all possible.
your options are, A run ROOT again or UN-ROOT and pray, or B hope the store or zte will exchange it. basically its stuck in a boot loop, you have to set the root program up to run and let it be at waiting for device, see if it can pick up on it, i know the phone itself wont look like its on but its just at a black screen due to the emulator hack. if its started but not finished and removed after this is what happens...

now as far as your questions jsphmuckey, there is no "beta mode" cm10 just isnt finished, its still in testing to work out the rest of the bugs, it has beta status, when its done and ready for release it becomes a release candidate and then an actual release
intalling root with cwm is an impossibility, because you need root to install cwm...
it is a pc program just like the original root and cwm installer, its just all rolled up into one. i have yet to find a way to make root installable through the phone itself without a computer, there are certain issues with that which would be very hard to overcome and most likely make your phone do something like what happened to adaup33, we can run the first set of commands but after the reboot youd be stuck forever in a loop of black screen
and no, no more news has come out about the supposed update. even if you ask zte they will just give you the same bullshit line they give everybody about not upgrading unless its officially released which doesnt even apply to the question

well, 3g speeds are not gonna change once an update is out, internet is still gonna be crappy as ever, only difference is there will be a few new features on the phone

Hahaha wow beta MODE lmao Nah I meant to say status ;) Oh yes good question is your problem regarding the original post? Root? Or did u use the ZTE handset tool? Any who yeah nothin on there Twitter page regarding jellybean :( Maybe (God willing) I'll spontaneously get an ota update. That would be pleasant :) Oh and I know there will be no difference as far as 3G Speeds on new firmware. Just would be a nice OS change. As far as CM10 glad there's been some progress. But, it's taking quite awhile. Are you the only one working on it? I'd love to help, but I've got Windows. And don't wanna install another operating system such as Linux or other variations.... I wish I knew how to theme or something other than bloatware removal. I think I could utilize Root Explorer a lot more then I am lol

well, you can do some cooking in windows using cygwin and android kitchen, youll have to research that on your own though its too detailed to get into here especially seeing as there are probably plenty of resources around the net.
ah, ok nm i get it now, sorry, even i dont like reading through my long winded speaches

and sadly, no one is really working on it at this very moment, playfulgod has other things to do and in my opinion has done more than his fair share considering it doesnt benefit him in any way, im stuck without being able to even test my newest ideas and tinker with what id need to tinker with because i cant build from source, superr has been busty dealing with the real world, and shin has other things hes working on. plus a life. so basically, its dead at the moment, it may be revived if someone can come up with something but the last few problems are proving to be nearly impossible to work out. and though we do have other developers like hroark13 that worked on it sadly those were just here and there kinds of things, not really active involvement through the process. like pg though they have other things they are working on

when shin or someone has the chance im going to try to get the kernel looked into, see if the bluetooth drivers can be adjusted to work with the standard commands since it would seem zte used some proprietary crap

Hey thanks for the info! I'll look into it :) Yeah, no need for you to go into detail, that's what Google search is for haha Not too worried about CM10 :) People do have lives & I agree with you that everyone has done a lot, and they didn't even really have to. Stock b09 rooted is working just fine for me. I'm just glad to have root! Sometimes we mess with things so much they cause other problems, and in most cases they didn't even need messing with in the first place! Haha!

I like this phone nonetheless, and have heard mixed reviews regarding the One X & if ZTE keeps their word & releases the update that'll just be a bonus.

anyone who is running a stock based rom tho, and has cwm, if you could make a backup really quick and then test out the unrooting feature that would be awesome of you. i wanna know if it works myself but testing it on cyanogenmod would not only be kinda risky since its meant to be rooted from the start and the same root method may not work, but it wouldnt tell anyone anything, because who the hell would be trying to unroot cyanogenmod in the first place? we wanna know if it unroots stock based roms. btw testing it on anything stock based will tell us what we need to know, that means cyanoid, awesome android, shinjitsu, or straight up stock will do, just not cm or aokp

no, cwm requires root to install, but does not require root to run. once you have a recovery installed its on there regardless till you install another

Ok I made my back up but it's been so long since I messed with this stuff. Wheres the link to how to use this again I forgot or just tell me how to use this again sorry.

as long as you already have the drivers installed from rooting in the first place, just download my package, unzip it, and run the windows.bat file, though it might just be called windows depending on your settings, its the only thing called windows in the package

Last Q does the phone have to be in any mode?
*NM I just did it...
Looks like it to me that's TB or is there an official way to know?

I think I bricked it when I did 1 root just the lil green guy was on the screen forever so Im restoring my back up now
