Help How to search in your phone?

How to search inside your phone? e.g apps, contacts, music etc.

I have 4.1.2 on my Galaxy S3. In Google Now I'm able to search but sometimes it doesn't show apps just straight to Google. Why?
I'm not able to search for Music?

I have sorted the settings out. No problem there

Hello Ghost. The S3 lost it's search functionality after an update:

In the UK you shouldnt have lost the local search function mate, think it was only the US. I use it all the time to find apps. I dont use Now though but i think it still worked when i did. Just dont press search, wait for the phone to find them :thumbup:
Usualy the results start to show by the time i get to third letter

What do you mean by the local search? This is the screenshot Search Bar
I wrote the whole word and still doesn't pop up?
 
"Local" or "universal" search just means it searches for contacts or apps in the phone. Apple sued and it got banned in the US.
Thats strange man, the app should appear below the web results... dont know if theres a setting for it..
 
In the search page like on your screenshot, press menu button, settings, phone search, then check the boxes for what you want it to search :thumbup:

I was just going to say that. :) It's funny, I had a suspicion there were settings for that but I had to check and there they were.
 
Ah right. Man that would piss me off lol. As i said, i stopped using Now (it descriminates against everywhere non-US lol)
Maybe try clearing cache and data in the google search app in Application Manager..

Thanks man, I tried 5 times and working good so far... But have to see what happens after a bit.:)

How is google Now with english football teams mate? It doesnt seem to recognise scottish premier league teams lol!
