Root (Port) Behold II Factory 1.6

Wow this is great. I had forgotten how much I missed vibrate. I also forgot how much I hate TW and the cube. I might go back to R8. Got a good 18 hours of battery out of that version everyday. Just feels so much more comfortable. Although since BH_MAN is close to releasing his enhancements....:D

Yeah I didn't realize how much I missed Vib. either. The rom is comparably fast to the galaxy rom, as long as you throw a UI replacement on. I'm using advanced launcher, and have it over/ underclocked...and there isn't much diff. between stock 1.6 and the galaxy.:D
 
@BH_MAN any chance that we could use the fix from the galaxy for the battery in the notifications tab. U know so it drains properly again instead of showing full charge at 70% as so on. Not a big deal but it would be nice. Thanx again for releasing this and all your hard work and long nights!

Ok, been playing around with this 1.6 stock Rom and I think I'm going to go back to 1.6 R8. I really like all the features Galaxy has and the performance. BUT, the wife also has the BH2 and she wasn't having anything to do with the galaxy interface, until I showed her this one (She loves the stock interface and needs the Vib and the BH camera app). One thing I was wondering though, is BH_Man still working on the Galaxy 1.6 R9 one or 2.1?
 
Guys, no offense but lets keep this thread as clean as possible, and lets not turn it into the galaxy 1.6 forum. Keep posts to being about bugs, and giving thanks to BH_MAN only. If one person reports a big, please do not report it again, thanks!

Besides merging in the Camera fix and fixing voice search, I'd say this rom is ready to go. vibration and wifi work. though one thing I notice is missing is setting the boot pin number(not the sim pin number).

I think it needs some moding to be perfect i liked the look of the R8 this just reminded me why i hate touchwiz
 
Things that I've seen so far are:

The Camera FC (Fixed)
Voice Search FC
Finicky data connection (sometimes unable to connect with full bars of data signal)

But still, pretty solid build otherwise.

*edit* and I must say, having exchange support again is great :)
 
Hey guys all this stuff is great. I am new to android and my new Behold II but have been figuring it out as I go. I've never updated a phone ROM before so just wondering if on the droid flashing the ROM is pretty bulletproof, don't want to end up with a brick.

Also, assuming I'll need to reinstall all my apps?

did you mean droid as in the phone "Droid" or as in the OS Android? lol
anyways, no, you will not brick your phone as long as you follow the simple instructions!

This Is Factory with a Rooted Kernel Guys... Other than what should be working & not... Post those Bug's only Please :D

Regarding everything else.... Huge Merge of Fixes / Mods that everyone is used to seeing..... For now, I'm off to hit the Shower... Bushed Hogged 20 aches today & badly need of a shower... I'll post back in a little while...

Also to throw this out there, 10 hr's + & at 78% battery left with minimal usage today...

Based on the context I would take it as saying droid as in short for the OS Android.
 
Wow I got to play with the gps navigation, very cool. I had Pandora going, it would pause the music to give directions and then continue playing. Very awesome. Though a 15min drive took about 12% battery, so charger needed.

But onto something interesting with this rom. Maybe a "feature" or a bug, but I push the lock button and instead of it showing the dots for me to input my unlock pattern, it simply wakes the screen. I have to push the lock button twice.

Just wondering since you are not allow to say where the file came from, is the Kernel be able to support Wifi Tether?
 
this might sound dumb but do I need to root my phone first or just install with Odin?... first time to flash a phone and first smartphone don't wanna screw it up. thnx y'all
