So when they release the new s3 the rooted t999 can flash the radio software and have lte Samsung is the one who made the phone and they say the chipset does support tmobile 4g lte service so its just T-Mobile holding out the only difference in the t999 and the t999l is a update to the radio which was only needed to reduce a small amount of signal drops which pick the signal right back up a Samsung rep said and she also said that it would be up to the carrier to release the update to the t999 to make it a t999l with that said T-Mobile is not gonna release the update because they want more money so if u own a t999 then root and flash the update pulled from t999l when it comes out or buy the s4 lol this is what im gathering

Hmm. i dont know anything about the US carriers so i dont know who id be more inclined to believe.. the carrier or the manufacturer. Tbh it depends on the quality of training theyve gave to the people payed to answer your question.
Id bet that the unpayed people in this forum will give you the answer though ;)

Yeah I agree just putting info out there that I gathered it makes no difference to me ill be getting the s4 just wanted to let the ones who do have the t999 what the Samsung support said abojt the chipset and the possibility of lte with the t999

Cool. I hope it does work man. As i said, i dont really understand how it works in US lol.. wish it was more simple

I am going to do a warranty exchange- my phone randomly turns off, my battery life is diminished & my speeds are very slow- at least that is the story.

I would like everybody reading this to encourage everybody with a T999 to do a warranty exchange with T-Mobile. It is absurd that they will not do they update on their flagship phone.

S a&&hole from T-mobile said that as soon as I am around LTE towers it will trigger an update & if I travel to Detroit or a city where LTE is available that will trigger it. T-Mobile service has become poor. There hardware is there to receive LTE. Why can't we get the update on our T999s? I want to see 100,000 warranty exchanges until the Samsung has to do a software update.
