Root Camera issue on pacman?

You need to do a fix by replacing the libOmxVenc.so file in the rom in system/lib with this:

Is this camera fix just for pacman?? I'm running dirty unicorns and camera records okay, short of a tear or two. But when go into gallery and attempt to play it says unable to play. Would this fix still work, since both roms of 4.2.2.

I think so, it's worth a try. just backup the other file. if it doesn't work, just put it back

Don't work on dirty unicorns, so once restored the backup I flashed the jellytoast 17.2 kernel and camcorder worked better. Least it played the videos anyway. Being new at this, don't know if a different kernel solves it. When flashing jellytoast it did say fixing camcorder in 4ext though.

But in xda thread...Mazda mentioned having issues with buttertoast and why he stuck with the evervolv. But that was back on 1.4v also.

edit: Spoke too soon. Crashed with the jellytoast kernel, like other threads have mentioned. Went back to evervolv kernel.

with 4.2.2, it's best to stay with the kernel that the rom comes with. other kernels might work but tend to break things.
